We can't speak too highly of this little gem . Just two rooms ,one private bathroom and the other ensuite. We chose the ensuite which had a roll top bath. Our room was spotless with five Windows on three elevations. Our hosts Wendy and Lee were friendly and interesting and full of knowledge. Lee is a wood carver and the house is full of his wood carvings some of which are for sale . Lee took me into his woodworking workshop which was very interesting to me being a joiner but he also has a engineers workshop. The breakfast was excellent and it was nice sitting together at the same table with the other guests. The garden is beautiful and full of birds . We were lucky and saw fallow deer come into the garden We will definitely be back here in the future when we are next in the area . The property has a covered car parking space which is secure.

Terry and Rosamund, thank you so much. It was delightful to have you as our guests and your comments about your stay are heartwarming. We really enjoy the company of our visitors and it is especially nice when you had so much in common with Lee’s woodwork. You will be very welcome another time for further exploration of this lovely part of Dorset.

Such an amazing place to stay at. If you are seeking some peace from this crazy World, then look no further. Right in the heart of rural Dorset. Wendy and Lee are two genuinely nice people who cannot do enough for you. Their home is stunning. Beautifully decorated throughout. Our bedroom was spotless, comfortable and all set for a good night's sleep, which we had. Awesome cooked breakfast the next morning. Do look at Lee's wood carvings, they are amazing, he has a real talent. This is one of the best B&Bs out there, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We are most certainly returning very soon.

What a lovely quiet relaxing bed and breakfast, wonderful hosts , we had a spacious room with the most comfortable of beds ever! The whole house was so clean and so up together, breakfast was very good. We are walkers and were issued with plenty of walks to choose from, the area and villages Are very pretty. Just to let you know our lovely wood carving of Jenny wren that you made has pride of place on our mantelpiece! Definitely recommend!

Had a lovely few days at Gorse farm, a warm welcome and a memorable stay, the quality of the furnishings are wonderful. Our room was large and spotless, although there was no shower, we had a lovely roll top free standing bath. The bed was firm and comfortable also Queen size, the place is quiet yet loads of lovely flowers and wildlife. It's the only place I've ever stayed where the full English breakfast tasted healthy, but great. The owners (Lee and Wendy) go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay, they're a very driven couple, so very covid aware if you're concerned about cleanliness/safety. Lee is a very talented wood carver and many of his creations are throughout the home and in the garden, They're also into motorbikes and know the area well, we took their advice and went to a few recommendations and had a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back, it's a bit off piste , but worth the effort, value for money I'd say eleven out of ten😉.

Really, really good in every respect. No hesitation in recommending. We used as a base to explore north Dorset with a view to relocating. Did not disappoint. Easy drive to the lovely towns of Sherborne & Shaftesbury and the many hamlets and villages in between.

Gorse Farm House is beautifully situated in its attractive gardens and surrounded by peaceful countryside. This lovely part of Dorset is great for walking and is within convenient reach of wonderful attractions such as the National Trust properties at Montacute, Cerne Abbas and Kingston Lacy. Our room was very pleasant and comfortable, and the house has generous space elsewhere for guests. Wendy and Lee are kind and considerate hosts who provide a super breakfast, and go out of their way to ensure an excellent stay. No surprise that many of their guests return for more visits.

We have stayed with Wendy and Lee on a few occasions now. We have stayed in both rooms over the years, the bedroom with the en suite and the other room with the bathroom just across from the bedroom, which was for our sole use. This is a lovely property, it's comfortable,no smoking ( which I always look for), warm and is a bit different from the rest. Lee has some beautiful wood carvings for sale. There is a den, chill out area too. Free Wifi. I always appreciate the amount of hanging space in the rooms and rails in the bathrooms. Breakfast is perfect. What more can I say, except go and try it out for yourself. We will be back.

My friend and I stayed in the twin room for one night last weekend, as we were singing at the Great Dorset Steam Fair. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Wendy gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived, along with recommendations for local pub options to get some dinner (we picked the Ibberton which was also fabulous). The room was beautiful and comfortable and the bathroom was huge! Great parking facilities and a very beautiful house in a stunning setting. It was lovely to wake up in the morning to the sound of horses clip clopping up the lane rather than the roar of cars outside, and we had a delicious cooked breakfast in the sunny conservatory. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, I would love to return in the future and would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Thank you so much for your very generous comments and we are very glad you enjoyed your stay. I have heard very many positive comments on what a great success you were at The Steam Fair, maybe you will be back to sing again next year, by popular demand.
