Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first stay here, we have stayed elsewhere in Dorset for a number of years but now have a dog so chose here.

Lots of positives from arriving. Well organised check in procedure and friendly reception staff providing a site map.
Amenities are great on site, it was very clean and it is clear the site is well looked after with the plentiful flowers being tended to everyday. Staff around the site would always say hello.

The on site shop is well stocked with fresh baguettes and crossiants available in the mornings. I wouldn’t agree with a previous comment re it being expensive, I thought it was quite reasonable.

The swimming pool was a great bonus, there was a max of twenty allowed to due Covid but this was well managed by the staff to avoid a queue and they would give time limits if required to ensure fairness. This only happened to us once out of 5 swims.

Toilet, shower and laundry facilities are clean and have no issues with them at all.

All in all a great site, my only issue for us as a family was the location. It’s great site and backs on to the forest which was great for our dog walks however due to us having a camper we would have to put away for us to go out of the site as it’s not in walking distance to the town, shops or a local pub. The local pub is under new management but wasn’t open during our stay. I don’t think I would walk there anyway along the roads with my two children. Obviously I was aware of the location prior to booking and the site but for us personally we missed being able to walk somewhere

We stayed here for 3 nights in mid September, after our original booking was cancelled due to the lockdown. The site was full, but really peaceful. Perfect weather was a bonus! The management had put very effective measures in place for social distancing and sanitising. Check-in was friendly and handled well by socially distanced staff. The shower and toilet facilities were kept really clean. I was really pleased that the pool was open, and the reduced numbers permitted in the pool meant that swimming was a real pleasure.

I stayed here three times since the site reopened in July and each time found the balance struck by the site management in ensuring they/we were compliant with COVID rules and facilitating a wonderful holiday atmosphere and experience was excellent.
The site was always spotlessly clean, sanitiser available at every touch point, polite reminder notices and a really warm welcome on arrival and every morning when I went to the shop to get my chocolate croissants!!
This site is simply terrific, stay there, you’ll love, your loss if you don’t. Have fun

Camped on the electric pitches for 5 nights.
Very large pitches, room for our car and our 6xl man tent with further space too! Facilities were great, shower/toilet block/dish washing/laundry facilities were kept immaculately clean and of a very good standard. The warm water dog wash outside came in very handy! The outdoor heated pool was lovely to have a morning swim in, it was very clean and not too crowded either, a luxury to add to any camping/caravan holiday. On site shop was very well stocked with really friendly staff, especially Nicky who always greeted us with a warm smile.
Location in the forest is great for walks/dog walking, ideally located for a 25 minute drive to the local beaches and stunning coastline. We’ll definitely be returning!

Tony and Sarah work tirelessly to create a stunning, peaceful, family friendly environment. The park is stunning and the environment is carefully respected to ensure nature is all around you. The facilities are spotless and I mean spotless!

Pitches are very large, flat and highly maintained. We have never felt that space is compromised even in the height of summer.

WiFi can be patchy so ask if you need WiFi and they will help you select the right pitch.

The site feels so safe. Children play happily. The playground, pool and forest provide endless fun.
We have always found other visitors to be friendly, families or couples.

The owners are very strict with rules ensuring the site remains peaceful, so if you want loud music and late nights, this isn’t the site for you.

The fresh breads and pastry’s are amazing and the visiting food stalls are great. Not many gluten free options so stock up if you need wheat free.

We have visited so many times each year during the summer and seen our boys grow up year on year here. The staff are very friendly and always so kind.

Thank you to the whole team for another lovely stay.

The site is well kept and large, backing onto the forest is a bonus. Our experience odd but important. We had a big problem with our Motorhome and needed to get it recovered. The staff were not very helpful more interested in the fact that the pitch was booked out. The phone signal was awful and we had to drive 3 miles (luckily we had a car with us) I realise this isn’t the parks problem but they didn’t offer to help us arrange recovery and without a phone signal this was very difficult. Free Wi-fi is on offer but no use, if I had to pay I would be fuming. Our other issue was we were on pitch 9 which backed on to Sugar Hill the road along side the park. The noise from this was bad, we came away for a relaxing break but had to sit and listen the cars, lorries and motorbikes screaming past. The site was full plus we were already set up. I feel if you are going to be allocated the pitches along this line you should be notified that the road is literally 5 metres from your pitch. Then you can make the decision if this is for you or not.

First visit, beautiful site, clean, tidy, spacious pitches. The site was exceptionally well maintained with flower displays everywhere which was lovely. Little touches like the bike washing area and the dog washing area just made it that more special. Shop was well stocked and staff very friendly. Spoke to the wardens Richard and Angie who were lovely and informed us of local things to do. We got a bus from the park for a nice day out. Only downfall for us was TV reception was not good and phone reception was also bad, apart from that it is a lovely site, catering for everybody of all ages. We have already book to return in a few weeks.

Stayed on one of the superior pitches. Excellent with your own picnic table and plenty of space. The site is immaculately maintained. Spotlessly clean facilities. I used the washing machines and even though it's only on for 35mins my items came out very clean. Reasonable price at £3. They have food vans on some nights and we tried the fish and chips. Very nice and reasonably priced. The only reason I haven't given it 5* is because we had a ferry to catch and had to be at the harbour by 7am. The gates are closed between 11pm and 7am to keep the noise down for fellow campers - understandable. However its a real shame they don't have a 'late arrivals' area as we had to park in the driveway for the night with no electricity /water etc. They used to have them but since COVID they haven't been reintroduced.
I would still happily return here and throughly enjoyed my stay. Agree re other comments on mozzies. I just drenched myself in spray and wore long sleeves and trousers. Come prepared.

. The campsite is very spacious with generous pitches and great location for walking and cycling. It's about 4 miles on good forest cycle tracks to Wareham. The site was still busy for October and the staff were very visible looking after the site. We spoke to several other caravan/ motorhome owners who have either seasonal pitches or have been coming here for many years, they all gave it a big 👍
The pool closed in September for the season but did look excellent. Shower/Toilet blocks were very good and kept very clean. Staff were very cheery and helpful. Special mention goes to Nicky for her help with our store and stay plans for next year.
We chose Wareham Forest partly because of it's location and easy access to so many places. Wareham itself is an attractive town with good pubs, cafes and restaurants. The only drawbacks are that there is no bus service available and the road to nearest pub (The Silent Woman) is unlight and Without a footpath.
All in all we have no hesitation in recommending Wareham Forest and we are looking forward to returning next year

Me and my family visited this site this weekend just gone and will never visit this place again. The site is pretty and very clean however this gets spoilt by the rude members of staff. There is a man who goes round on a tractor patrolling - checking up on you. You feel like you are constantly been watched. No children on site...it feels like a prison camp full of retired couples, who sit on there camping chairs outside there caravans not talking and just glaring at you. I took my child over to the park which was a complete waste of time. Everything is taped off apart from the slide. Only so many times you can go down a slide. By 10pm everyone’s lights are out and it’s like a ghost town. The barrier is locked at 11pm until 7am...so you can’t get out or come back in. No signal what so ever on the site. They give you WIFI codes that don’t work. All weekend we had no TV or radio and could only get signal once leaving the site. Our electrics kept going out and the second time it happened the spy on his tractor said there was an electric emergency so had to cut the power off. It was completely horrendous and felt like we was on a prison camp for the weekend. NEVER AGAIN. Avoid Wareham Forest Park.

So you have Middle beach which is about 5 miles away then Swanage. Middle beach has a cafe that sells anything you may need and the beach itself is great. You will need to pay for parking and access is down a steep path.

Good morning, the nearest pubs that are family friendly are in Wareham itself which is approximately 3 miles (5-10 drive minutes) from the park, there are also shops (including 2 supermarkets) there. We are located centrally for a lot of local attractions like Monkey World and Farmer Palmers. We have a tourist information centre onsite which will also be able to give you lots of ideas. We also have a section on our website of 'things to do'. If you need any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact reception.
