We have been here 5/6 times now. Still as comfortable tranquil and a nature's paradise as ever. Covid precautions in place which demand breakfast hamper in your room! Miss the kitchen breakfast chat but still a warm welcome and very obliging. Really felt safe. Take Jenni's advice on local restaurants, pubs, etc. - her recommendations proved good. Philip & Mercy
Excellent quiet location within walking distance of Wareham. Our room had lovely views of the surrounding lake although it may be worth checking that this is the case for all of them. Our room was spacious, the beds comfortable and we appreciated the numerous coffee sachets, tea varieties and biscuits provided. Fresh milk labelled for our room was available in a fridge on the landing. The bathroom was of a high standard with plenty of towels and toiletries provided. We had good WiFi connection. Our host was friendly but not intrusive and was extremely Covid aware. In fine weather, there would be excellent bird watching from the lake shore. It served our purpose for two nights as it was close to Arne and Wareham town but it would also be a good location for a longer stay if visiting other attractions. We opted out of the breakfast that was extra so cannot speak for that. Overall, despite the weather, we enjoyed our stay!…
Lovely location, an very convenient to walk to Wareham where there's a good choice of places to eat. We recommend The Bear where we had a great cooked brunch. We were offered continental breakfast only at Lakeviews not sure why... Maybe because of the covid restrictions. Currently building works spoiled the view and the lake view from our room wasn't great so another room may be better.
We stayed for 3 nights and Jenni made us feel very welcome. The room was Tamworth and had lovely views of the lake. Spacious room with en suite. The B & B is within walking distance of Wareham and is a great base to explore Purbeck. Breakfast was Continental style due to Covid but was good value and there is plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Definitely stay there again.
Jenni was a great host and did all she could to make it a great stay. Unfortunately due to COVID we couldn't have the great breakfast's i had read on previous reviews, but the breakfast hamper that Jenni provided was good and she catered for Gluten Free, which we required. The room was good with a nice view across the lake. They are positioned down the end of a long private road, therefore you feel away from it all which is nice. Wareham is a nice town and is well positioned to use as a base to get around Dorset. We would definitely stay here again, also Jenni is building 3 self-catered rooms which gives another very good option.
