Burnbake comprises of 22 luxury forest lodges with hot tubs and camping pitches. Camping: The campsite is a very traditional family orientated campsite, an ethos we have strived for since opening in 1975. We are a turn up and pitch site for tents and campervans. I am afraid we are NOT able to take caravans. We have a wide selection of flat level pitches ranging from heavily shaded areas that are perfect for those hot sunny days to more open areas for those looking to make the most of the British sunshine. Facilities wise we have toilets and showers, a shop, small laundrette, small play area and a café open for peak times. We can cater for larger family groups on our events fields by prior arrangement.

Detailed Reviews
Booked to stay here for four nights as it was our children’s first time camping and to see how they got on. Online booking was easy.
Quick check in process on arrival to explain about the camp and loved that you can pitch anywhere you like as long as you maintain the 6 metre distance from other tents.
We got our tent pitched without problems, may be worth bringing an extra groundsheet though due to the falling pine cones on the floor just to make it more comfortable under foot. Everyone was very friendly and the staff we met were happy to chat and excellent with the children. It was nice that kids could be kids and it’s a great little place for them to run around and explore.
The shower block was out of service due to the Covid safe precautions but there were outdoor showers (covered by a roof so good enough), you just have to time it right to get hot water.
Very clean and good food at the snack shack when you don’t fancy cooking.
We had the yellow weather warning for the start of our stay, however, the main campsite was pretty well protected by the trees from the worst of the wind if you pitch in the right place, the event field and the middle of the main camp may not be fun and we saw some tents take a bit of a battering. Heavy rain sees some large puddles form, so again, just have a really good look at where to pitch. There is plenty of room and a lot of regular campers were able to point out the good and bad spots.
Will definitely come back and stay for longer next time.

+1
We were the first allowed to visit after lockdown 3.
We have stayed on larger sites like warmwell before but due to covid we wanted somewhere smaller and more remote.
We were not disappointed in our choice!
We stayed in a 3 bed lodge, the main bedroom is upstairs and large. It was great for us travelling with teenagers but families with younger children may feel the bedrooms are too far apart.
The lounge is very small for 6 people.
On arrival the lodge was clean but bits had been missed including red nail varnish all over the dining table and thick dust in the kitchen area and on the outside table and sadly our hot tub was freezing and unable to be used until the following day, which was unfortunately as due to covid restrictions our break was reduced from 7 nights to 4 and then you can not use the hot tub on the morning you leave so we only got use for 3 days.
Management apologised for the hot tub and gave us Prosecco and logs as compensation.
The welcome pack is a lovely idea
It had bacon, eggs, butter, milk and a loaf of fresh bread.also tea, coffee & sugar sachets
There was also a pack of toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets, cleaning spray, hand sanitiser & hand soaps and shower gels in each bathroom.
Normal towels. Hot tub towels and 2 bathrobes were also provided.
The on-site shop had a good range of drinks, snacks and a few frozen bits. We found a larger coop and Budgens in swanage which is only a few minutes drive away.
We had a lovely stay, just what we needed after another long lockdown.
Beautiful location. Friendly staff.
We will return.

Hello Louise Thank you very much for your kind review and I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Unfortunately we had a power cut on the morning of your arrival, which led to the hot tubs taking longer than normal to heat up. Other than that, I'm pleased to hear that you enjoyed our lodges. We'll look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Thanks again Burnbake Team

Just returned from another brilliant mini break staying in one of the Burnbake lodges.
First time in a 3 bed lodge. Immaculately clean, well furnished and homely.
Hot tubs were checked by staff at least once a day so no dodgy germs festering in there.
Less than 10min drive to Studland
Definitely recommend.

Stayed here for 2 nights, WOW! What a treat!!
We arrived at 6pm, Picked the key up in the office area, then it was a 30 second drive to the lodge. The lodge was huge! We had a 2 bed lodge... The hottub was amazing and warm, there is a maintenance guy that comes round in the afternoon and does a chlorine check and tops up the water. HOWEVER... He forgot to come back to our hot tub and take the hose out! I noticed it was over flowing and the adapter that stops it overflowing was broken!! BUT!! Everything was ok and i managed to sort it.
This was such a beautiful place, So peaceful. There are walks you can go on also around the area.
Will i be coming back?! Absolutely This is very good for couples!

Just had 2 weeks camping on this beautiful camp site. It is clean and tidy and carefully run but at the same time very few notices and a very chilled approach. During covid the loos and showers have been altered which made us feel very safe. The snack shack was excellent. So many lovely things to do nearby, we didn't even finish our list after 2 weeks so will need to return soon! I hope you keep the online booking which is much less stressful than the scramble for a turn up and pitch space.
When we arrived a very happy little girl told us to watch out for the stars, so we did and they were amazing. Thank you.

Myself and 3 of my girlfriends stayed for 3 nights! Couldn’t of wished for more. It was amazing. 5* Luxury accommodation! Very clean and loved being remote in the forest, we could have been anywhere in the world. The lodge was very clean and towels, slippers and dressing gowns provided for us. Beds made up and super comfy!! Lovely touch with the fire started pack for the log burner and hamper of fresh bread, eggs, milk, cheese and bacon left for us on arrival. Between 4 girls we forgot a hairdryer so with one call to reception we had 2 delivered to our door within minutes! The hot tub was fantastic and made us feel even more relaxed (with x2 daily visit from staff to ensure it was clean for us and chemicals at the right levels!) central heating that kept us warm and cosy throughout our stay! Kitchen was well equipped with - dishwasher, fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, Kettle, toaster and even washer/dryer machine!
Lovely walks and we even seen deer :)
Would highly recommend to anybody and everyone! Thank you (lodge 18)

Lodge was lovely! Good quality furniture and stylish. Not sure why the ceilings were left the way they were. Hot tub was excellent and spacious. we enjoyed lighting the log fire at night. Beautiful part of the country enjoyed exploring. The walk from lulworth to man o war and finally durdle door was stunning and a real highlight. We enjoyed corfe castle too as well as a walk to old Harry rocks. We stopped in sandbanks for a round of crazy golf and took the ferry across to studland which made the journey a little more exciting! Pizza delivery from corfe castle was delicious. Hot tubs checked daily which is fab! Lovely welcome pack, dishwasher tabs and robes provided! Beautiful wildlife roaming.
It was advertised that due to extra cleaning lodges would not be ready till 5 at 5 ours was still not ready. It was also said that tape would be applied to doors etc so that you knew no one had been inside after it had been cleaned but this didn’t happen to ours or our friends accommodation. Most of the lodge was spotless but once we were finally in i had to call reception to have the cleaner come back as the carpet area by the door was filthy! It looked like in a rush to let us in that had been forgotten. Someone came within minutes and sorted that out. When we went camping was still not open due to restrictions so it was incredibly peaceful! I paid for extra logs, our friends didn’t but had around the same amount as us provided anyway so maybe not worth paying for these! Xx

This is our second time at Burnbake Lodge. We stayed in an excecutive lodge very spacious and clean and all you could ask fridge dishwasher bread eggs they also provided us with bread bacon eggs butter milk and teabags. Plenty of towels do not need to bring any of your own. Already recommended to friends and family
It’s so relaxing to use the hot tub after a day out by the beach there is a lovely beach called Knoll beach close by. Corfe Castle is close by and there was a great viewing point along the way to the ferry we think it’s called Ferry Road might be wrong😁
If you like Monets gardens then take a visit to Bennetts water Gardens in Weymouth it’s like being in Monets Garden in Givenchy in France
We didn’t expect to see the red arrows but whilst on Noel beach we saw them they were flying over Bournemouth pier.
If you travel over to sandbanks over the ferry or to Southbourne beach in Bournemouth both lovely beaches
We also went to Compton acres which has a Japanese garden which was amazing
But if you didn’t want to leave your lodge and you just wanted to chill out with the hot tub then make sure you bring lots of meals as there isn’t really a big supermarket nearby and it gets very dark at night in September. There is a tiny shop on site to pick up bits
This will not be our last time here we will definitely be going back again we didn’t actually meet that many staff but the ones we did make very friendly and not intrusive at all when they used to check the hot tub
We also saw a few rabbits close by which was fun
If I had to mention one thing I didn’t find a hairdryer either this year or last year so whether they’re hiding them somewhere I can’t find I don’t know so bring hairdryer with you

The lodge was so spacious, very clean, had all the mod cons and had a large hot tub, which was so clean and checked daily. The hot tub area was private too. The bedrooms were spacious, nicely presented with plenty of storage. The beds were very comfy and the bedding smelt really fresh. The front room had DVD player and log burner and was cosy. The kitchen was big with a large table which was great for entertaining. There was also a spacious outside dining area with plush seating and a place to sit your barbecue tray. The holiday lodge had everything and was to a high standard. We also had robes and disposable slippers and when we arrived we had a welcome pack which included a fresh loaf, bacon, butter, milk, eggs and tea bags. This was a really nice surprise. The on-site staff were really friendly and the on site shop was well stocked. All in all we really enjoyed our stay snd will defo be coming back again. Thank you.
