We had a lovely ten nights camping under the pine trees at Burnbake. It is ideal for young families, as the main campsite is very quiet and surrounded by woodland to explore. Our three-year old loved his first campfires (fire pits available for rent from the well-stocked camp shop), and the facilities are high quality and well maintained (particularly the outdoor showers, which have plentiful hot water throughout the day). It is a beautiful spot to camp and we look forward to returning in future years!
6 of of stayed in a three bedded Lodge. Had the most amazing, relaxing time. The lodge is beautiful and had everything we needed. A lovely breakfast basket on arrival including bacon, eggs, butter, milk. The surrounding areas a beautiful. And the hot tub was just what we needed. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
Our second stay at burnbake and just as wonderfully magical as the first. Lots of activities to do in the area and close proximity to beach so the location is perfect. Surrounded by beautiful woodlands for lovely long walks. Child friendly and dog friendly. We are looking forward to returning and making many more special family memories.
Burnbake lodges are the perfect place to unwind. What a tranquil, peaceful setting and it is nestled away amongst the countryside. We stayed in Lodge 1. This is a 3 bedroom dog friendly lodge. The lodge is clean, large and has everything you need for a break away. It is probably one of the best lodges we have stayed in. The hot tub was an added touch. However, it’s not as powerful as other hot tubs we have been in at other parks. Also be mindful of the insects. As we visited in June at certain times of the day our hot tub would be swarmed (this would be any time after 7pm) Top Tip: Take some insect repellent candles for the decking area! The lodge is mainly secure for dogs and has a fenced gate by the main deck area. A small suggestion would be to add another gate off the second bedroom as we couldn’t open the doors here as it wasn’t secure for our dog. Which was a shame as the weather was warm during our stay and this room got particularly hot. These are just some small suggestions that perhaps the park could consider. Burnbake js central to most places. I would recommend visiting Shell Bay, Sandbanks, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove and Corfe Castle. We also enjoyed experiencing the Swanage Steam Railway. If you have a dog, Dorset is very dog friendly. Some beaches had some restrictions due to the time of the year that we went but we certainly managed. Overall, a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Thank you Burnbake.…
We had such a fantastic time at Burnbake. We rented one of the executive 3 bedrooms forest lodges which was so well equipped and clean in an amazing location in the forest. The staff were so helpful and the entire campsite a lovely place to spend time in. Excellent shop on site. Really handy for Studland beach and Poole harbour as only a few miles and around 15 mins drive away. I can’t big this place up enough and we will be booking again for another time later this year.
Great family camping trip! We were greeted checked in and directed quickly and professionally. The camp site was busy for the jubilee weekend but never felt crowded or noisy. Toilets/ showers could get busy in the morning with some queues. Shower pressure not great when busy. Lots of visible staff doing the rounds helped prevent noise and issues that we’ve had in other sites. Take away cafe good but slightly expensive, but you get that everywhere with a captive audience. I’m sure we will be back again soon!
We stayed in a 3 bed Lodge with friends. The quality of the lodge was outstanding, really jaw dropping. Everything was immaculate and we had a nice welcome package when we arrived. The hot tub had seats for 6 adults and was brilliant. The park itself was clean and quiet. We had an amazing relaxing long weekend. Can't recommend enough.
We stayed for a very enjoyable week, using the hot-tub and wood-burning fire numerous times and the barbecue once. The bed was slightly hard but nevertheless comfortable, the shower was easily adjustable and was more than hot enough. Although there were other lodges near by the layout provided good privacy. There were plenty of power points throughout and the area inside the front door was useful for storing shoes and hanging coats. The location seemed remote, being on the edge of a forest but was 7 miles from Wareham with its selection of pubs (The Kings Arms recommended for food and real ale) and supermarkets (co-op and sainsburys) and a half-hour walk along the ancient walls. We would stay there again! Pros: Ample surfaces in the master bathroom for toiletries etc Barbecue housing for instant barbecues Cons: Small fridge Toilet flushes awkward to operate especially with arthritic hands A baffling number of tv channels in a random order, many of which didn't work Would like: The fire to be opened up to the dining area of the room not just the living area A rubber mat for the walk in shower - it had quite a slippery surface…
A very clean and comfortable lodge. We stayed in No 4. Although close to the roadway, it was very quiet and peaceful The rear decking and hotub are surrounded by mature trees and shrubs. Excellent location, short drive to get to attractions and beaches. Certainly worth being a National Trust member for free parking at Studland Bay and Corfe Castle. The steam railway, Monkey World primate rescue and Wareham Boat HIre were very enjoyable days out.
We had a lovely stay with friends at Burnbake last week. Lovely lodge which is well equipped and in beautiful surroundings and the bonus of a hot tub. The location of these lodges are excellent. We really enjoyed our stay.
