We stayed Rivendell recently and was disappointed it wasn't as good. The facilities weren't fully operational for the time we were there (indeed not only was the pool cold on occasion, I heard a member of staff say she'd turned it down even when it was warm). It was supposed to be a clothing optional week but with the gate left open to the world it certainly didn't feel private. We also couldn't use the shower room or toilets outside, having to go back to the room if we needed to. It won't be clothing optional next year but we won't be back regardless. As far as the rest of it was concerned, disappointed not to be able to sit in the conservatory and losing the key to our room before we arrived just smacked of apathy. they also used to supply bathrobes but not any more. All we kept hearing was it being the end of season so what did we expect? We expected better to be honest.

This is the first time we have came here and trust me it will not be the last. The staff here are fantastic 💪 there make you feel like a member of the family💕. The pool is a nice size for the kids , The sauna has such great view . There is 4 BBQ's there and pizza oven and they sell the wood on site. Good size area to wash your plates up. It has very good lighting when you go to the toilet at night 😂. The camp also has a dryer and a washing machine with a small charge . The place is great for couples and families with small children My two boys are 11+8 and had the best time of there lives. We also did as well but don't need to say my age 🤦‍♂️. I would like to say Thank you for a great time.

We have just returned from our stay here and had a thoroughly lovely time. We are really upset to be home after such a relaxing break. The facilities at this place are AMAZING. The pool, hot tub, showers, toilets and BBQ area were immaculate. We literally cannot thank you enough for making this such a lovely, fun and very safe place for us and our children to be in. We stayed in the Bell tents and we are glad we did. It was so easy to just turn up and unload our things without the faff in the rain!!!! We arrived to a very warm welcome from Josie and Kelly, who went out of their way to make sure everything was OK. We are coming back next year for sure and very much look forward to it. Thanks so much for our little break. We needed it!!! Only one criticism, which is absolutely no one's fault, it had been raining a lot before our arrival so the communal area between our bell tents was like a mud pit which was no fun trying to keep 8 kids away from the carpeted floors. Might be worth putting a little bit more of a stone area/ patio area in. Just a thought!!! This in no way takes away from what a wonderful stay we had. Thank you again.

The room was a small double (which was upgraded to me from the single) still small with no wardrobe and suitcase had to sit one side of the bed due to the room being so small. Staff on arrival were pleasant and helpful. I booked as a naturist but received a call two days before arriving that this would not be possible due to other non naturist guest staying. Pool was ok but felt it could do with a clean. Site was very small and sat along side the main road through Horton. Sadly not as tranquil as I was hoping. Used it as a place to sleep and shower but went of site during the days. Sadly won’t be visiting again after a long time of looking forward to booking and finally staying here.

Great experience, chilled. Welcoming! Can’t fault. No funny business. It is what it is. So chilled and relaxed. Wish I could live here. Hosts were amazing, they were nee at the time so they wasn’t sure of what then were getting in to yet they were so open minded. Forgive my late review
