This is the cutest little Yurt haven snuck away in the Dorset countryside and we loved it! We stayed in the Rose yurt and it was perfect. There is a lovely (and clean) well-stocked kitchen with various cooking stations and a gorgeous little wooden shower hut with plentiful hot water. Toilets are of the dry sawdust compost style which might take some getting used to for the uninitiated ;) Electric battery packs are provided to run your phone etc which is handy. Also there is fire pit and wood stove to stay toasty and they provide some wood to get started which lasted well for us and really made the experience authentic. Verity the host is super helpful and friendly as were the other guests. You can park very nearby and the coast is a 30-40 min drive away for some of the best beaches in the country. All in all fantastic value for money and above all a very clean and well-run establishment that shouts 'good management' on every criteria. Get with nature at its finest and make a booking!

A wonderful week with my grandchildren at Mountain Cottage Yurts at the beginning of July 2021, really enjoyed my first glamping experience! The yurts were very well equipped and very comfortable and we all got great nights sleep! Lovely to wake up to the birds in the morning! Loved the little wooden shower house with its own wild flower garden - lots of hot water - great facilities! and the compost loos were always kept clean :) The kitchen area was a fantastic addition giving extra outdoor covered space to enjoy family mealtimes all together. Everything you might need to enjoy your stay was provided including a wonderful clay pizza oven! My grandson loved the outdoor mud kitchen and the hidden children's play area with swings and a little boat! Verity was a wonderful host! thank you for a great stay!

My family and I had our first yurt experience here last weekend. From the point of booking, throughout our stay and to the follow up email, the communications from Verity were excellent. Fantastic location, with great amenities. Definitely the place to go if you want to experience a ‘near’ wild camp, with a few luxurious extras thrown in. And, it’s also a great base camp, within a stones throw of the coast and many other local/historical attractions. We will be booking back in here for sure, in the near future.

I’ve just arrived home from my first Glamping weekend and It so good from start to finish. The initial booking via the website, email communication with Verity then the direction to find the remote site where all spot on. Our Yurt ‘Rose’ was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and bunting. It was clean with a comfortable bed and warm bedding. We had a complimentary basket of logs ready to add to the fire pit and the log-fire. The tea shack had everything we needed to cook throughout our stay. There were plug sockets to charge our mobiles and plug in hair dryers. The toilets were clean and so was the shower room. We really enjoyed our first Glamping experience and have already recommended to friends and family. We are already planning our next visit.

We have visited several yurt sides over the years and this is by far our favourite. The site is beautifully laid out, so that every yurt has their own private seating area with bbq. The communal kitchen as well as the interior of the yurts are decorated nicely and with attention to detail. The wood fired pizza oven is a nice extra feature which we tried one night. Best pizza we’ve had in a little while. The site is very child friendly, with a little play kitchen, slide and sandpit, as well as some swings for older children too. Communication couldn’t have been easier and we’ve been made feel very welcome throughout the booking and our stay. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a chilled stay, be it as a couple or family. Thanks for having us! Ute, Scottie & Elliott

Absolutely wonderful 3 night family break with our 3yr old and 9m old, the facilities are wonderful all the little extras make it so special the communial kitchen area is fabulous for socialising with other guests no where else have we ever had breakfast in our pajamas with strangers who soon became friends, such a wonderful touch. Verity is a fabulous host who made us very welcome, the facilities are all very clean and tidy. It is such a safe space for the children to run and play whilst enjoying the great outdoors and fresh air. We will definitely be returning again. Thank You!!

This is our second time at Mountain Cottage Yurts it’s such special place. Verity & Nick are a lovely couple who take such pride in the business they run. We’ll be back later in the year. We stayed in Daisy this year a beautiful yurt so cosy and super comfy beds! The kitchen is a great social space with everything you need cookers, fridge etc. Lovely hot shower spotlessly clean. I just love it.

We have just returned from a two night stay in Orchid yurt. We had a wonderful weekend. The yurt was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed and, although it got a little chilly at night, we were warm and cosy with the wood burner going. The communal kitchen is great, really well equipped we wanted for nothing. The shower was piping hot and spotlessly clean. Verity is so friendly and helpful, there when you need her, but not at all intrusive. With beautiful places like the New Forest and Purbeck on the doorstep, it really was the perfect getaway.
