This must certainly be one of the top B & Bs anywhere. I just could not recommend it highly enough. It quite simply could not be faulted. My husband and l stayed in Ballycairn a couple of weeks ago as we were attending a wedding nearby. On arrival Dee and welcomed warmly and we were treated to delicious freshly baked raspberry cupcakes and shortbread in the sitting room. Our bedroom was immaculate and the breakfasts were quite simply delicious. All in all a delightful experience. Thank you Dee and Johnny.

We are so grateful to have chosen BallyCairn B&B for our trip to Northern Ireland. Our family room was so comfortable and welcoming. Breakfast was outstanding, freshly prepared and served with so much love by Dee and Johnny, our hosts. We have never met such caring hosts. Their attention to detail, readiness to help out and their way of making you feel comfortable at all times is hard to explain in words. It is so special to end a jam-packed day with the little treats that Johnny prepares every day! Nothing short of outstanding dear Johnny and Dee. Much love from us and the boys x

Dear Ruth, Thank you so much for your wonderful review of your 4 night stay with us at BallyCairn House B & B. Dee and I greatly appreciate the 5 bubbles awarded in all categories and your compliments regarding: our hospitality, standard and comfort of the accommodation and quality of breakfast. We are delighted you also enjoyed the ‘bake of the day’ treats at the end of your busy days, out and about, exploring the various attractions in Belfast, the Causeway Coast and Glens of Antrim. It was a great pleasure hosting you and your charming family - indeed meeting such delightful people like you through our business, makes it all so rewarding and worthwhile. Johnny and Dee do everything to make you feel welcomed and they are passionate about showing you the best ways to explore the beautiful Antrim coast. The breakfast is delicious, the room is super clean, cozy and has a lot of surprising and useful details (make up table, round brush hair dryer etc.) We were spoiled with an afternoon tea and home made sweets. It’s also a convenient location to explore Belfast and the county of Antrim. Long story short: We would return in a heartbeat!

This self catering studio apartment next to Ballycairn House B&B was excellent. The room had a nice double bed, TV, cooker, fridge, dish washer, washing machine etc and a great walk in shower. All the utensils etc were provided and everything was top quality. The place was spotless and modern. The hosts Johnny and Dee were great and provided a hamper of food and drink. The gardens at Ballycairn are beautiful with views of the sea and hills. There is a proper Irish pub 10 mins walk away that does food and has traditional music. Other restaurants are nearby in Ballygally as is the sandy beach and a well stocked local food shop. This is a great place to stay and the perfect location to explore the Antrim glens and Causeway coast to the north and Belfast to the south. We'd certainly stay again.

Outstanding! Johnny and Dee, our hosts, were the most attentive, kind and generous people you could meet. From start to finish, they made us feel incredibly welcome, could not do enough for us and more! Their attention to detail and ability to make us feel special, particularly our mother who was spending a special birthday there in her home country, was just amazing. Extremely comfortable rooms in a really beautiful home, which for our stay, they made ours in every way. Delicious breakfast and they even made us home baked goodies during the day! I cannot recommend this place enough.....it really is a hidden jewel in the north of the green isle and we will definitely be back! Thank you Johnny and Dee! xx

Truly exceptional hospitality in a wonderful location. The bedroom was spacious, very comfortable and with masses of storage. Everywhere was immaculately clean and well appointed. Johnny and Dee are incredibly friendly and helpful and" go the extra mile "to make you feel at home, with little treats to welcome you back from exploring the stunning countryside.Breakfasts are delicious with excellent coffee and an unsurpassed view from the dining room. We stayed 2 nights en route to visit a cousin and followed Johnny's map guiding us up the coastal road......absolutely wonderful but sadly didn't see any dolphins this time!!

We spent six nights in the Studio Apartment, which is joined on to the main B&B building - actually Dee and Johnny's home. The Studio was one of the best-equipped apartments we've ever stayed in, with every conceivable amenity; it was fresh, modern and beautifully decorated and adorned with original artwork. An up-market welcome pack greeted us, which included not only the basics, but unique touches such as homemade strawberry jam and some of Johnny's famous lemon drizzle cake which went well with the complimentary bottle of decent white wine. One could not wish for better or friendlier hosts. Apart from maintaining the highest of standards, they were genuinely interested in getting to know guests, though not in a 'pushy' way. My mother, who lives in NI, came to visit and they bent over backwards to make the occasion a success, even supplying some of their own furniture! Beautifully manicured grounds and a famulous view added to the many attractions of the property, which we would heartily recommend as the go-to establishment in this beautiful area.

The beauty of the location, the comfort of the room, and the delicious breakfast is matched by the kindness and warmth of the b & b owners, Dee and Johnny. We had a perfect 3 night stay at Ballycairn with our young daughter and did not want to leave. It is perfectly located for a great holiday within easy reach of many things to do. A drive along the coastal road up to the Giant's Causeway is a must. The scenery is stunning. We truly hope to return. Ballycairn is a magical place, if you're lucky you may even see a fairy.

Wow!! The welcome was second to none with Johnny & Dee, very informative, greeted with tea and cake. The room was huge and impeccable and made for an extremely comfortable stay. The views of the countryside and the sea were stunning. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, the best we've had on a break away. Johnny & Dee definitely were the icing on the cake, they even drove us down the road to the Hotel to attend the wedding we were attending and the next day to Larne bus station. Exceptional
