Home comforts in traditional Irish cottages. Rosevale Farm Cottages provide ideal self-catering accommodation in a country setting close to the coast of North Down. Annie’s and Davy’s, now fully refurbished, have their origins in the eighteenth century when Rosevale Farm was the home of workers from the Sharman Crawford Estate of which it was then a part.

We're losing track of how time we and our family members have stayed at Rosevale! This trip was shorter than usual but we still had an absolutely wonderful time, of course. Our stay in Annie's Cottage was delightful. The cottages at Rosevale look like traditional Irish cottages with terrific attention to detail but include the mod-cons we all are accustom to. Spotlessly clean. Cozy. Comfortable beds. Beautiful. And the best hosts one could hope for. Thank you David and Ann!

My husband and I spent a week here 3 years ago and we knew it was the perfect place to bring our daughter, husband and 2 young children. It was perfect for all of us and the girls loved David and Ann's 2 dogs. The makings of an Irish fry was left along with tea, coffee, milk. The house was spotless and very comfortable. It was serviced at the end of our first week. Everything you need is in the house. Free wifi too which was a bonus.

We stayed in two of the cottages in August. They are a delight; perfect for a short break or as a base for touring. They offer modern conveniences whilst maintaining the character of a traditional farm cottage. Situated in a lovely rural area, you are only minutes from the main road, an excellent country park and most of the major supermarkets. A special word of praise for the local products in the garage in Crawfordsburn village. The owners are on site and provide all the help and advice you may need. Highly recommended

Anne & David were very welcoming & helpful hosts. Their cottages were traditional and very clean & well fitted out. It made a memorable holiday in Ireland for us with our 3 children & 4 grandchildren who thoroughly enjoyed their stay. It was a very peaceful location and the children had plenty of fun.

I have been a frequent visitor at "Rosevale" since 2001, at least once a year, sometimes twice. If your desire is to be in an Irish Paradise, Rosevale is the choice you should make. Ann and David are absolutely wonderful. I have adopted them, and their family, as 'my' family too. Primrose, I consider as my cottage, but each and every cottage is superb. Accommodations are well equipped, everything is available that is needed in order to settle in. Ann has supplied all necessary staples in the food line to begin your Holiday. What a fantastic location with a gorgeous landscape, away from the city noise, yet close. Extremely peaceful atmosphere. Truly Rosevale is the "spot" you're looking for to relax and enjoy. During some of my numerous visit's several of my friends have been my guest's, loving every minute. Make Rosevale your next Irish choice.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by Anne and David. They were very informative as where everything (iron board, pots n pans, how to work central heating, washing machine and tumble dryer etc) was kept. An extremely well kept traditional style cottage. Anne and David had even left some goodies for our breakfast....The delicious ingredients for the famous ulster fry. Very much enjoyed I might add. They also supplied dishwater tablets and washing powder, fabric softer, the list is endless. The bed was very comfortable indeed. The decor very pleasing to the eye. The surrounding area with many attractions, golf, country walks, seaside resorts , town and city shopping etc all just a very short walk/drive away. My husband and I will most definitely make a return visit to this lovely quaint, peacefull cottage.

We recently stayed in Primrose Cottage, one of three little cottages around Rosevale Farm. The cottage which has one bedroom was excellently furnished with period furniture and as been fitted with all modern conveniences/appliances. The cottage had great views of the Lough and countryside, and was in easy access to the major towns. The owners Anne and David were very welcoming and started our stay with then by providing fresh provisions for a good old Ulster fry!! Feeding the goats and petting the Irish Wolfhound was a real treat. It a great holiday stay.

We stayed at Rosevale with our adult children for a week in September to be close to our family who lived nearby. We just loved the cottage from the minute we saw it. Upon our arrival Anne and David had the Australian flag flying in our honour - what a lovely touch! The cottage was totally self contained, had gorgeous views of the Lough and countryside, and was in easy access to the major towns. Having the fridge stocked on our arrival with the basis of a true Irish Fry was awesome, feeding the goats and petting the Irish Wolfhounds was a real treat. The cottage was very well appointed with new appliances with plenty of clean and comfortable beds. It a great holiday stay!

Tucked away in the countryside of Northern Ireland, just a short car or train trip to Belfast, these self-catering cottages are the perfect place to serve as a relaxed base of operations. Easy access to main highways, the coast, and 1.5-2 miles from a train station, I was able to conduct my business in Belfast while my spouse and two 17 year old girls forayed from the cottage or just enjoyed a day of lounging. The location is not only convenient but quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The accommodations are first rate with ample space and well supplied kitchens. Color and countryside abound and are visible out of every window. Anne and David were delightful hosts and their dogs were also mellow companions on the property. For the price of a Belfast hotel, one can stay in the countryside and pay for a train ticket...you will not be disappointed with this choice! Many thanks Anne and David...we hope to visit again!

Our first stay at the cottages and will return. My husband is from the area 50 odd years ago so wanted to stay close to familiar places. We were made to feel so welcome with the makings of an Irish fry up in the fridge along with other staples. The beds were so comfortable and plenty of extra bedding if needed. The boys loved the peat fire and stoked it up even though the central heating was more than enough. It was like moving straight into someones house it was so well equipped. Wi fi was provided which was an added bonus with no charge. Washing machine and dryer is also available. The Australian was flying which was a lovely touch. Thanks Ann and Dave from 4 very happy Western Australians
