In the quirkily refurbished classrooms of this former rural school in beautiful Co Down, he can teach a lesson to other local chefs who also promote the local provenance of their ingredients -- he not only uses the produce of his...

Maybe I was oversold the Schoolhouse but I was expecting more. I've nothing to highlight in a negative its just there was no wow factor for me. Its in the middle of nowhere, ok for some but not me really Rooms were, well I would compare them to reasonable B&B Bar has no TV (this was highlighted to me since...

Amuse bouche of scallops was a lovely appetiser...

Simply Marvellous......... I don't need two hundred characters to make a submission to trip advisor when those sixteen sum up my experience. Good menu, good service, nice wines, nice environment, loved it.

A happy pork must have been prepared by an extremely gifted chef. Wow. And then the complimentary bechamel potatoes. How can a 'simple' side turned into be...

We stayed at the Old School House for an overnight stay on a recommendation. The room was adequate although the whole place seemed overstuffed with furniture and decorations. The bed was uncomfortable and lumpy and the ventilation in the room was poor. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom so it was unbearable after a shower and the next...

Called here for a meal. Haven't been for years and wanted somewhere a bit different for a very good friend who at 75 was retiring after 50 years as a priest. 4 of us called. To be honest didn't know that it was also a hotel. Lovely restaurant, with a great menu and our serving person was absolutely wonderful. She...

The property is quaint, homely and very comfortable with a very relaxed atmosphere. It is in a lovely location and with their son running an excellent restaurant - this place...
