Stayed here for one night working in nearby Burntisland about 2.5 miles away. This is a quaint hotel with decor that is a little dated, however everything works fine, beds extremely comfortable, plenty of room in first floor room I had at front of building.Staff at check in very good, breakfast next day excellent. Stayed overnight at this hotel. Situated on the high street but has private parking at rear. Staff are very pleasant and service both in the bar and at breakfast was excellent as was the breakfast. The porridge was really special. As for the rooms......we occupied two rooms one of which was more than acceptable. Our room was clean and tidy...

I visited this quaint hotel with my partner, friend and his wife. The purpose of our visit was a Christmas weekend break in Edinburgh. Although Aberhour is quite distance is from Edinburgh, the hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the train station & only approximately 30 minutes journey to the centre. Return ticket £7.20 Considerably good value for...

Having been let down at the last moment elsewhere we found this Hotel at the eleventh hour and though initially we had reservations about staying North of Edinburgh over the bridge having planned to spend three days in the city.We couldn't have been more wrong and more pleasantly surprised. OK the Hotel is a bit tired, but ALL the staff...

We stayed at the Woodside hotel overnight, but wished we had more time to enjoy in Aberdour. Our room was a family room with plenty of room for everyone. Breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. When we encountered a small problem, they we quick to help us. If you are visiting Edinburgh, the train station is near...

The hotel is perfectly adequate for a night or two. Excellent restaurant with fresh home cooked food at sensible prices. The staff are helpful and friendly and are happy to go the extra mile. Ensuite bathrooms could do with refurbishment. Good value for money. I would go back.

I so want to give this a higher score just for the dining room alone, however you cannot rate a whole hotel on the wow factor of one room. This place looks fantastic from the roadside and overlooks the river, so on a clear day it is a stunning view, However the general feel of the hotel is one stuck...

In its day I imagine it was a splendid hotel however it is tired and some of the decor is pretty nasty. The rooms were ok , the bathrooms in need of some serious work but as I said it is OK for the money and perfectly fine for one night en route elsewhere. The staff were courteous and helpful...

We had a lovely time at this hotel. It is excellently situated for the beautiful Fife coastal path which we highly recommend walking. It also has excellent train links to Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen and stations on the coastal path. The hotel has nice rooms, reception and of course a beautiful ceiling in the dining room which came from a...

Spent a few nights in this hotel which we found very comfortable. We had a nice twin bedded room, with a good bathroom. Plenty of very hot water. The village of Aberdour is lovely with good walks , a castle and two beach areas with great views over the Firth of Forth, and is only a short journey from Edinburgh...
