Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a darling B&B. I had a wonderful, spacious room. They have breakfast but also have lunch available to the public on certain days. We were a large group and they even served us dinner one night. The owners are so sweet and helpful.

Lovely guesthouse with a friendly helpful owner, located in the middle of Crail Close by are interesting shops, cafes and walks by the coast. The coastal bus route runs right outside. The bedroom was so comfortable with everything you could need, and quiet despite the stormy weather.

It’s a fabulous location. The rooms are clean tidy and comfortable with pretty views. The hosts are welcoming and attentive. The breakfast was delicious! All sourced from the local butcher and cooked lovingly, accompanied by fruits and yoghurts. It was just perfect all round.

We had a two night stay at the Honeypot. Linda is an excellent host. Our room was lovely, clean and well stocked. The breakfast each morning was made to order and it was delicious. We loved Crail, and the Honeypot was centrally located for easy access to shops and restaurants. I highly recommend this cute B&B.

The view from my room Seaview was amazing. The bed was very, very comfy and the pillows so soft but just right for me as I usually like firm ones. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff and owner who welcomed me and made me feel very comfortable as a solo traveller.

We went to the honeypot for 2 days when coming up to celebrate a relatives wedding. We arrived a little early but bless her one of the two owners, Linda, let us in early. Its a lovely place, immaculate (seriously, fantastically well kept) and modern but tasteful decor. The front room where you have breakfast is light and spacious too. Talking of which, the breakfast could not physically have been cooked better. It was to perfection, and I'm not expert but pretty sure the ingredients e.g. sausages were of local high quality - much much better than your average hotel for example. I dont want to go on and on more than I have, but we had a lovely stay, thankyou! I absolutely must mention that the two owners are genuinely nice people. You can tell they enjoy it, and are really happy to have people there. its not just a pride thing I think, they are so bubbly and friendly it really feels like your welcome and everyones content. Thankyou for a lovely stay, definitely recommend! Thomas and Julie xx

Stayed 3 nights at this lovely guesthouse. So warm and welcoming with a spotless comfortable room with everything you could want. Breakfast was great with a good choice of items and was served by the friendly owner Linda and her staff. Crail is a beautiful old coastal village right on the coastal path. It was so easy to get there from Dundee. Travelled most places by bus but also has a train link 20 minutes away. Will definitely return to the Honey Pot.

My friend and I stayed here during our Fife Coastal hike and it was lovely! We were the only people here and the host was incredibly sweet. She wasn’t feeling well but still made everything amazing for us. Our room had 3 beds (we needed 2) and they were so comfy!! The room was clean, quiet, and well put together. We enjoyed our stay here!!
