Just had a 5 night stay In Cannich Cottage and cannot recommend high enough, the interior of cottage was immaculate and very well laid out (we had our dogs with us so the space was welcomed) they even provided dog bowls, blankets and treats. The walks on site were great, and such a peaceful location with Cupar only 10 mins drive away. The hot tub and outside garden was well maintained, and our dogs loved running around this safe space (as all enclosed). Have already booked to go back in September.

Beautiful location and views, we were lucky to get good weather. We were in woodpecker and skylark lodges for a family birthday weekend with a dog who also loved it. Lodges were mainly clean though the oven could do with a good clean! We paid for disposable BBQ which was also great and surprisingly quick and robes for the hot tub. The animals round about are a nice addition to go visit during your stay. We went into St Andrews and Cupar for a lovely beach walk and through the shops in town. Check out time is rather early considering guests stripping own beds etc another 30 mins for check out would be great to take this into consideration. All in a great stay in a lovely lodge and location would book again or might try some of your other locations.

We have just come back from a lovely stay in Acorn Lodge. The Lodge was fully equipped, spotlessly clean, and so cosy - there was even a Christmas tree! We had said we were bringing our pup, and when we arrived, there was a blanket, water bowl, and poo bags, plus 2 bonio biscuits, which Flossie really enjoyed. The farm has some lovely walks, and it was nice seeing the animals in the fields - one of the llamas was very taken with Flossie and kept kissing her through the fence. The location is perfect for us as we have family in Dundee, which is a 20-minute drive across the Tay Bridge so Balmeadowside will be our go-to place from now on as we travel up a couple of times a year. Oh, and we love a hot tub, so it is just perfect for us.

We chose purely on location due to family living close by. The lodges were beautiful, clean and we had everything there that we needed to stay 5 nights. We were in Mountain Ash and there was plenty of space for a family of 4 to chill when we weren’t at the beach or out and about. It’s the little things like the knives being sharp, having a dishwasher, good cooking equipment that made it superb.

We stayed in Maple Cottage for 5 nights with our dog, the cottage was beautiful and cozy. The living area was idea with a wood burning stove which we loved and the bedroom was absolutely massive as was the bathroom with a freestanding bath.

The hot tub was a great way to relax at night or in the afternoon. the Estate itself is well kept and has some great walks that can be done with the dog, it is a good location for visiting Cupar, St Andrews and Tentsmuir National Nature Reserve which has a stunning beach.

We will definitely be coming back next year!!!

We stayed at Rowan Tree Cottage for 4 days/nights at the end of May this year. Easy access off major roads, beautiful entrance to Balmeadowside and the surrounding areas are a feast for the eyes and soul. Our cottage was clean, well appointed and inviting. There were 2 couples, each with bedroom and bath. The kitchen had all dishes, utensils, pots and pans we required, as well as a basket of teas and coffee for you. Kerrie in the office is an angel! She was on my inquiries in a flash. The staff there also terrific, friendly and accommodating as well. The cows, goats and deer on the property added to the ambience and we loved that. Don't forget to visit Billy the goat, as he is the welcoming guy for the property! A short drive to the town of Cupar for shopping, banks, post office and restaurants. Can you tell we really loved this place?

This is our fifth time staying at Balmeadowside Lodges. I really can't fault it. The lodges are spotless and are stocked with the basics, eg, washing up liquid, cloths, tea towels, etc. I love walking around the paths to see the goats ,deer, and cows. You can do as much or as little as you like with St Andrews, Perth, and Dundee a short drive away. The hot tub is fab to relax in the evenings. Will definitely be back later in the year.

I had booked a two night stay and had saved for a while for this get away with partner, due to serious personal issues with partner, we could not make trip, so I had contacted luxury lodges, they could not care less about my circumstances and just basically said no refund, I had cancelled on Saturday giving them a chance to re let, maybe get some sort of refund, but I then got email two days later on day of booking, asking me to confirm cancellation giving them a chance to relet, I had cancelled two days before!!! I have emailed Operations Manager, she does not care and only cares about losing money, asked for contact to make a formal grievance and operations manager gives me her email address. Also brought up other issues and have been ignored.
Also when booking you see that wifi is good etc, then get confirmation email several days later and down at the bottom of email warning about WiFi.
I'm actually lost for words the way they have treated me and my family at this extremely difficult time.

Whilst we can empathise with your situation, our policy regarding cancellations is clearly stated in our terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure fairness and consistency for all our guests, and they include specific timelines for cancellations and refunds. In your case, the cancellation was made two days before your scheduled stay, which falls outside the refund period outlined in our terms. We have offered to provide any required evidence for claiming on travel insurances, or to change the booking name to alternative family member or such like.

Been to conifer lodges, that are also solid luxury, so was looking forward to this trip. On arrival our lodge was nice as was the site. However on the Thursday evening there was a severe weather warning, and the advice from the Scottish Government was not to travel, so we thought it was best to stay where we were. On the Friday power went off around 4pm and when we left on the Friday at 10am the power still wasn’t back on. I totally understand this was unavoidable, however I think the lack of customer care showed be solid luxury was unacceptable. They knew in advance a storm coming and we were stuck there, as we were advised not to travel. We were provided with a box with four tee-lights (lasted a couple of hours) and nothing. In reality we were left for 20 hours in the dark, with no power or heating (temp was 2 degrees). I don’t think it would have taken too much for them to deliver some more candles, some blankets and a flask of hot water on the Thursday evening to help through the night. Obviously profit is more important than customer care! Disappointed!

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Beechnut lodge last weekend with our dog. We had such a lovely time and cannot fault Balmeadowside at all!! The lodge was spotless and decorated beautifully! On arrival we were delighted to see a dog bowl for our boy as bad dog parents we forgot to pack his and he enjoyed his little biscuit for travelling so well!

It’s safe to say Balmeadowside have thought of absolutely everything!! The only issue we had was not having a lighter in the lodge to light birthday cake candles which would be perfect if added but not at all a criticism.

The hot tub was excellent and very private, the cabin itself was very secure for our boy and he absolutely loved the duck pond walk too!

Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we will definitely be back xx

Cupar is about 10 minutes drive. St Andrew's about half an hour drive. There is a folder in the lodge giving useful information about places to visit, restaurants and things to do in the area. It was very informative. Hope this helps
