What a peaceful and lovely location with only 17 lodges and the park is kept in lovely condition. Inside the lodge (#13) it was spotlessly clean and so warm. Lovely kitchen area with induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, full fridge / freezer and all in immaculate condition. Fantastic array of utensils. Both bedrooms were a good size with superb en-suite showers. Could not complain about anything internally, slight disappointment was the outdoor seating area which was quite restricted due to the hot tub within the same area, other lodges had separate hot tub and outdoor areas but this was the only fault we could find. 100% recommend for a quiet, peaceful and relaxing holiday break only 5 mins drive to St Andrews.

Well I was looking forward to my Christmas break with them this year. But 3 months after booking, they got in touch to say they are now only doing 7 night stays over Christmas and not 4 like we originally booked. So after paying our deposit (and a bit more), paying deposits to put our dog in a boarding kennel, arranging holidays off work and planning Christmas events in the area and ensuring family members were taken care off, we now can’t go. They said they are cancelling and if we want to book 7 nights we would have to pay over double the cost of what we originally booked. No apology, no discounted rate for 7 nights. Just a sorry we have changed our minds. Very poor service from forest holidays. We are now in a position to have to find somewhere else, but with 3 months gone out of the year our options have been depleted. We promised our children we would go away. Even had to have a whole conversation about how Santa will find them even though we are not at home. I will never book with Forest Holidays again unless they decide to honour our original booking.

Have to say after coming here for the last 5 years am disappointed, we always get a lodge with sauna as we did this time , to find that there was a note on the sauna door charging 45 pounds a day ,this was always included in the price of the lodge and there was no mention of it when booking, also emailed forest lodge and still have had no reply since

We are just back from a 4 night stay here for our 2nd Wedding Anniversary and it did not disappoint, we booked the Lawrie plus and the lodge was immaculate on arrival and is so spacious and has everything you need for a family of 4! The hot tub was brilliant and our kids 11 and 7 loved it! We have stayed in a few hot tub lodges and this one was by far the best! The site is so quiet and peaceful and it’s only a 10 minute drive to St Andrews so ideal for shopping or the beach! We definitely will be back next year and even our children have asked when we can go back!

Lovely lodge, everything you need is provided, there is even towels supplied for the hot tub. Lovely setting, not far from St Andrews. There isn’t a bar/restaurant on-site however information is provided in the lodge on the many local eateries who deliver, if you don’t want to cook. Only gripe was that the hot tub could have been hotter, but will we be back, absolutely 👍🏻

On first inspection, the lodges look really nice and very spacious. The location is great and it has a nice feel about the place. Our lodge had a Sauna, which was a nice touch and work pretty well (just as well as the main reason for selecting this lodge turned out to be useless). Anyway, that all said, here are the reasons we felt let down and for £150 per night, why it just wasn't worth that sort of money. We stayed for 3 nights and we were told we weren't allowed to use the hot tub on our final day - I've never heard this before in any lodges. That said we barely used it. The first night the hot tub was at best luke warm (about the temperature of a swimming pool). Fair enough, we thought, sometimes the first night can be a bit cooler. Next night exactly the same (beware there is no way to change the temperature on the hot tub). After being out in the cold all day we were looking forward to some time in the hot tub to heat up the bones and relax the muscles - this wasn't happening here. After this we gave up on using the hot tub. On the first night we tried to cook something in the oven, however, all the symbols had been worn away so there was no way to ascertain what mode or temperature to set the oven to. They kindly left a book on how to work the oven, however, the book did not represent the actual oven, so was pointless. We tried googling it but we couldn't find the exact oven so we were at a loss. We raised this the next day with reception and the response was downright rude "Have you never used an oven before". We tried to explain that all ovens are different so unless we could see the symbols, how were we supposed to use it. We suggested they put stickers on the oven or leave a note on how to work it, but we never heard from anyone again. On the morning of the second day, we went for a shower in the main bathroom, however, the temperature knob was broken and only let out scolding hot water. Again, we mentioned this to reception but all they offered was to turn the shower on for us and it was never fixed during our stay. Luckily there was a spare room, so we used the shower in there. They do provide a large smart TV, well I say the TV is smart, but they haven't set it up to use any apps so you can only watch live TV - surely, it wouldn't be difficult to set this up for guests. There were other niggly problems with the lodge, but our biggest gripe is their attitude when something isn't right. The whole experience felt like a very cynical attempt to oversell but under deliver. For example, when we mentioned the oven, they said its worn with time, there is nothing we can do - Yes there is fix or replace it!!!! It really feels like they were trying to find ways to save money even if it affects your experience. I do hope the other lodges were better than ours and I sincerely hope you don't have any problems because you will be left on your own.

Stayed in the 'White House' which has the most amazing views over to the Old Course and the Eden estuary. The layout is perfect for large families with various bedrooms, lounges, decking, hot tub & bathrooms plus a superb open plan kitchen diner. The utility room also has everything you would need too. The house was spotless and the beds massive and comfy. So much to do in and around St Andrews or just relax in the hot tub with vistas across the fields. Cant wait to return.
