Silverburn Park Campsite is a small family-friendly and dog-friendly campsite located within the grounds of Silverburn Park, offering stunning views across the Firth of Forth to Berwick Law and the Bass Rock. We are only 400 metres from the Fife Coastal Path via a recently widened and resurfaced path, and within easy walking or cycling distance of Leven Beach and the amenities of the town centre. The town of St. Andrews - home of golf and Scotland's oldest university - and Fife's beautiful fishing villages are within half an hour's drive, and you can reach the historic royal village of Falkland - featured in Outlander - in around 20 minutes. Silverburn offers a camping experience to be enjoyed by anyone who loves the great outdoors and everything nature has to offer. The campsite has 12 tent pitches, 3 heated eco pods, 4 campervan pitches, pot washing areas and brand new toilet and hot shower block. We also have a lovely firepit so you can warm yourselves by the fire and toast marshmallows into the evening. The campsite is owned and operated by a local charity, FEAT, which supports people with mental health problems into employment, and all profits support our charitable aims.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a lovely peaceful stay, lovely walk into Leven along the golf course approximately 15 mins, there is work going on at the moment so it was a bit muddy going to our pitch, went to the window café for scones, they were AMAZING, will return 😀

First time campers, including 2 young children. Fantastic campsite for us to start off with. Friendly, helpful welcome, easy access to pitch (carts available), we had one of 4 electric charging points, small number of tent pitches plus 3 eco cabins, excellent facilities including clean, powerful showers with hairdryer/toilet/shampoo/hygiene products in same room, communal firepit and friendly, considerate fellow campers. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed here for one night at the start of June. The campsite is easy enough to find (we arrived out of hours) but did take a bit of wandering about on foot, signage might be useful for first timers. The facilites are awesome, hot showers, good toilets, a washing up area and sufficent lighting throughout camp. We have dropped one star on this review due to how hard the ground was. We are very experienced campers and travelled the whole country. This is genuinely the hardest campsite I have ever found. We could barely get an inch of a peg into the ground. I appreciate we have had a bit of a dry spell but that shouldn't stop the owners making an effort with their land.

We were in our Motorhome staying on the site for 2 nights, nice welcome even though they had had snow and freezing temperatures, they tried to accommodate as best they could. Lovely views had access to the beach and close to town of Leven. Ideal spot to travel on the east coast and inland. Looking forward to staying again. Gillian and Deryne

On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely lady, she gave us some park information and some walks around the site. We stayed on the Campervan area which is situated beside a Golf course, it had a chemical waste area, fresh water and recycling points, there is 3 toilets/ showers rooms which are ok but not sure how they would be when the site is full! There is a little cafe on site which is open Tues- Sun 11-3 which has amazing scones. Would we recommend to family/ friends or would we return............. not sure

We've just had 5 nights camping at this lovely little site. The spot is amazing, looking out across the golf course to the sea. A ten minute walk (if that) to a lovely beach, walks and a walled garden on the site. It's a 20 minute walk into Leven for chips, and a 25 minute drive to St Andrews for all that that lovely place offers. Edinburgh is only an hour away. The site itself is small with one field for camper vans and one for tents and the glamping pods. 4 EHUs for tents. It has three well equipped wet rooms and a covered washing up area. We didn't use it but there is a small Cafe on site. For value for money I don't think we've had better (£130 for 5 nights EHU for 4 of us). Two things to be aware of though: you can't get a car up to the pitches so need to ferry your gear with one of the wheelbarrows provided (not really an issue but can imagine it being a pain if you're setting up or packing up in rain). Also, the pitches are very narrow - about 3 metres - so worth considering if you have a big tent or value your privacy. We have a 6 man tent with a side porch but didn't have room for the porch. Again, not really an issue but worth considering. Lastly, for cat fans, there a gorgeous and very friendly site cat, Archie, who spent plenty of time in our tent.

Hi there, thanks so much for your review, we're glad you enjoyed your visit! Just for the avoidance of doubt for others reading this, our camping pitches are actually 6 metres wide and big enough to host most large family tents. All measurements are stated on our website where bookings can be made. Thank you and hope to see you again in the future!

Idyllic peaceful location, lovely welcome, great showers, dog friendly - loved the welcome blackboard!! Close to beach with great views. Window cafe cheese scones were wonderful. Wheelbarrow to move kit as unable to park near pitch was useful. Good size pitch - a quiet site for couples. Didn’t use communal fire pit but a great feature.
