We (family of 5) had a wonderful few nights at Montrave. Warm and very comfortable with very helpful owners - nothing was too much trouble. Location is great for the Fife coast and St Andrews with Edinburgh and easy journey by train

This was a very pleasant surprise, last minute booking, as usual, set in a large country estate, the house has loads of character. The hosts were very welcoming and the room are very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and included fruits from their own walled garden. Just wish I'd been staying for longer.

The B & B is set in delightful countryside down a very long drive. It is a very old barn that has been tastefully converted by the present owners who also farm the land. We had views over fields with a couple of horses for company. The breakfast was well cooked and well presented. The owners were very friendly and...

The location is very peaceful being in a country park a few miles from St.Andrew's. The room was beautifully appointed. A large living room with woodburner was available for gues use with kitchen for teas etc. The breakfast was very good, particularly the Indonesian option and our hostess prepared a delicious Indonesian feast for us one night. Also, very cycle...

We're just home from a lovely lovely overnight at Montrave House. Warmly met by Airin, our host, Montrave is a stylish house packed with individual pieces of furniture, art and ornaments. Dinner was a delicious veg Thai curry, (or prawn) and spicy spring rolls. Everything was catered for, lots of thoughtful little touches. Can't recommend highly enough 👏👏👏

One night stay in single room, very comfortable. Very friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast before a days cycling. Had storage for my bicycle I'd brought along. Great nights sleep. Good to chat with other guests over the breakfast table in the morning.

Why stay at a hotel and pay over the odds for a mediocre room when you can stay at Montrave House. We stayed here for 2 days and the whole experience was faultless. Airin is an absolute delight (as is Nicholas) and takes great pleasure in doing everything she can to make your stay perfect. We stayed in the Super...

Arrived a little later than expected but was still met with a warm and friendly welcome. Owners are very welcoming and make every effort to make sure you have everything you need. We had the bedroom with the separate private bathroom which was just across the landing. Room and bathroom was exceptionally clean, spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious...

This was our second stay, it's very well placed if you are having to deliver your children to St Andrews uni. Really lovely breakfasts, this time including apricots and greengages grown in their own garden. Lovely comfortable room, very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Will try and stay again when we return to pick the son up and the end of...
