This B&B was recommended to us by some locals on the island and it was, as promised, a lovely place to stay. The breakfast was extrememy hearty and as a vegetarian, I was offered vegetarian sausages instead of the usual meat ones with my breakfast. As long as you tell the host what your needs are, they will cater accodingly,...

I was extremely disappointed when I contacted this B&B to enquire about a booking for one night's stay this summer. I realise that this was not an easy request but was amazed to be told in a very arrogant manner that 'they would not contemplate such abooking at this time of year.' The Shore is among the best Scottish B and B’s that we have stayed in. We were there over a bright May weekend, ’06 and would go back. The owner was helpful enough to phone us in advance to recommend that we booked the ferry due to the holiday being busy, and we were glad we did as it was...
