Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Had a very enjoyable short stay at the campsite here in a campervan. Pitches are great, level, with a choice of grass or hardstanding or some pitches have both. Entertainment on the Saturday night was good for something a bit different. Walk into town takes about 10-15 minutes and the campsite is ideally located for forest walks or mountain biking. Fantastic chip shop in town along with loads of cafes, hotels and takeaways. Garden centre nearby is good. Gents showers and toilets are a bit date, but kept clean. They're due to be upgraded next year, so I'm looking forward to seeing that. My wife tells me the ladies' toilets and showers have been upgraded to a high standard. Friendly welcome from staff and other guests are very friendly. Dog friendly site. Very quiet at night, and the dawn chorus of birdsong was fantastic.

This was the first stop on our trip around the Moray coast. A lovely quiet campsite, we were the only tent on the site which was a nice bonus! We arrived without booking and were met with a friendly welcome. If you are coming with a tent, make sure you have plenty of supplies to combat the midgies and other bugs! There’s was lots! But expected in a wooded area. Toilets and showers were very clean and nice and warm. Will definitely be back sometime in the future!

First time on this site, and was i not disappointed, lovely newly refurbished pitches with plenty of room, shower block was clean & tidy, quiet & friendly site with minimum road noise. Nice woodland walks which my grandson loved. The town is near buy within easy walking distance and a great chipper, their is a play park at the garden center to keep the kids occupied. On a Thursday the ice cream van comes into the park which was very nice. A special mention to Helen who runs the park, who was very friendly and helpful with a great cense of humor. i look forward to coming back, with the rest of the family in the near future.

Love this site! Site is very well maintained, lovely walks around the site and all the facilities you need are there and are very clean! The staff are friendly and helpful! There is a play area for kids and a picnic area that is next to the play park. Icecream van comes on a Thursday which is great. Also the site is situated in a great place very quiet but not to far away from the center of fochabers. You'll get a great chipper, ice cream shop & a huge play area for kids at Christies which is a 2 minute walk from the caravan site. They have static caravans, also touring pitches which you can choose if you would like hard standing or grass pitches. On a Saturday night you have a choice of bingo one week and live music the next great entertainment. Will defo be back!

Fantastic place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful location yet just a lovely 5 minute walk through a beautiful wooded area to the local amenities. We have stayed here in the past but its now under new management and improvements are being made all the time making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Helen, the warden is very friendly and helpful.

We had a week at the caravan site. Helen gave me a friendly welcome on arrival. The pitches are all super pitches with water, electric and drainage. The site is tidy. The amenity block is dated but is clean. Strangely it is carpeted which must be a nightmare to keep clean. There is an abundance of hot water in the showers; one wet room, 1 small shower and 1 tiny shower and they are super powerful. The site continues to advertise the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi which are not available and are in a dilapidtated state. It's very disappointing to get there and find that these facilities are not as advertised. It's such a pity as it would be a unique selling point and such a bonus. We had an enjoyable week at Burnside.

This was our 1st time at this park so was a bit sceptical after seeing such low review score. Well we were very pleased to find a well maintained site with generous pitches and all were serviced. Kids really enjoyed the park but just a pity the pool was closed. Even though its just off the A96 which is directly above the park we hardly heard any noise at all from it due to the shelter from the trees. Plenty walks into the forrest and at river to keep the dog happy and a short walk into the viklage where you will get a delicious fish supper. Helen the new warden has made a big difference to this park according to one of the seasonal pitch owners. She is very friendly with a great sense of humour. The bingo on a Saturday night was a good laugh which is run by some of the static owners and hopefully we will time our next visit when some live music is on. Will definitely be back.

This was our first trip to Burnside and we weren't disappointed. Quiet, clean friendly site. The facilities are dated but are clean and the showers are great also...nice to be able to wash my hair and not have to keep turning it on every 20seconds. Lovely walks with our dog and the kids enjoyed playing at the park. Helen the warden was friendly and helpful. We even went along to the bingo they have on every Saturday night and that was a good laugh. The local chip shop went down well, recommended for sure. Is close to all amenities and we enjoyed sitting out and seeing the bunnies wandering about whom didn seem fazed by people back and fore or the dogs.
