Spent a couple of very relaxing nights here. The room was large but cosy. The bed was very comfy and the flat screen tv had lots of channels and an excellent free wifi. Heavy curtains kept the light out. The bath wall large with an overhead shower. A bit slow to fill but this is common in hotels. The wardrobe was large with lots of drawer and hanging space. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended. The restaurant menu was good and the food delicious. Large portions. Breakfast was freshly cooked and again very large. Perfectly cooked. Only down side s that a bit dated and a little pricey

We went here to try their breakfast. Can totally recommend this place. The food was well cooked and delicious. Plenty toast /butter/jams. My only gripe was the plates should have been hot as cooked breakfasts lose their heat quick. Would come back.

Food is good, rooms at the front of the hotel are very noisy with lorries running past all night long. Take ear plugs. Rooms way too warm. Had room and bathroom windows open full in October and still melting due to heating being on full blast in the dining room below.
Lady called Suzy who works the bar is rude to females and very short with you but has no problem speaking to the guys!! Men only welcome with her. All the other staff very friendly.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the busy road at the front. Take a fan if you like a cool room.

We visited with two children. Varied menu with plenty of options for both grown ups and kids. Staff were excellent and attentive. Food was lovely and all plates cleared. Staff were thoroughly following Track and Trace processes with lots of regular cleaning taking place. Tables well spread out and excellent value for money as we benefitted from their 50% off with Eat out to help out.

Went for our supper on the 11th August, wife had the steak with stilton sauce and i had the Chicken fillets with sweet and sour sauce, can only say this was one of the best meals we have ever had in a dining room, could not fault anything. The staff were very busy but they were very attentive, asking us if everything was ok .
Highly recommend the Gordon Arms for a meal .Their social distancing is working very well.WILL BE BACK AGAIN.

Stayed here for 2 days on a business trip, and I have to say I was really disappointed.
The bedroom was cold and the radiators only seemed to come on after you were in bed! I did mention the cold room to staff and asked if they could turn on the heating. I was told they we look into it but as I said above it only came on after we were in bed. The room was big and had a comfy bed. The toilet seat was loose so it made for a tricky visit to the bathroom. The bathroom did not have a sink to wash your hands, but there was a sink in the bedroom. Breakfast was nice with a good selection of cold buffet items. The evening meal was awful. Having been told that last evening meal orders were 7.30pm to booked for 7.15. As it was steak night we ordered steak. Our starters were really lovely. The steak was a different matter. I ordered my steak rare and opted for mashed potato instead of chips asked for dietary reasons no tomato. The steak came with chips and tomato! I informed the waiting staff of the error. They were apologetic and took my plate away. Returning a short time later minus the chips and tomato, informing me the mashed potato would be along shortly. A few minutes later and my steak was bleeding onto the onion rings. The mashed potato arrived, by this time my steak was not as warm as I would have liked. The mashed potatoes were lumpy and by the time I put them on my plate the blood seeped in and I had pink mash. The steak was very tough, and hard to cut even with a steak knife! I asked for stilton sauce. It was very runny and although had a cheese flavour I don't think it was stilton. I managed a few mouthfuls and gave up! On the upside the staff were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

Attended as a family birthday meal and booked a table for 7 people. Almost all of the draft soft drinks were flat and had to be sent back.

There was only 1 other table dining, yet we waited nearly an hour for the meal and nearly 40 minutes for a second round of drinks.

Of the 7 meals that came, 3 were anywhere inbetween disappointing and inedible, with reasons varying from food being badly cooked, or just not the same as what the menu stated.

Although some of the meals and drinks were given gratice, the menu was very overpriced for the quality of food being provided in all circumstances. Would not reccomend for any visit without serious changes to the way the place is managed.

Food was not good. Roast dinner - hard potatoes, frozen veg, beef tough. Side portion of chips cold. Ordered can of soft drink received a draft. Was seated in a back spillover room , felt like going back in a time warp. Heading home to make some toast ☹️

Had to change my review after the disgraceful experience my family and I have just had. I called in the morning and asked if I and my family, including children, could have a drink in the gordon arms. We were told yes no problem. After being put into a hot and soulless breakfast room we were eventually made to feel so unwelcome by staff we left. Interestingly we spent about £150 on drinks before being made to leave. One supervisor staff member (lady) was incredibly rude and hostile. We are a large local family who will never use the services of the Gordon Arms again. Thanks for a ruined birthday. Never ever again.

The hotel is over 200 years old and it is a need of an upgrade and new carpet. We stayed in Inns all along the WHW and the Speyside Way - all were old Inns but this one was simply tired. We would not stay again. The carpet was really stained in the bedroom, the radiator was cold for most of the stay, the linens were scratchy, and the mattress needed an upgrade. There was a large sign on the bathroom door stating you had to close the bathroom door when showering or the fire alarm would go off. The hall carpet was also stained and tired.
