On arrival, the manager/owner was helpful and well-organised. We had a couple of rooms booked: The twin was very spacious and could probably have accommodated 3 people. The single was also spacious enough. The beds, linen and overall cleanliness were all good and we had a comfortable stay. The breakfast was also very good. An unpretentious, straightforward hotel which was...

The service was great . The twin room was great. The hotel and bar in general were in first class condition. Very clean and very modern. Our twin room was very spacious. Fochabers itself is a lovely wee place. The family who own the hotel were brilliant. the ever reliable Buckie Taxis had delivered our bags and the owner had...

Approaching the end of our day out celebrating my grandson's birth, our bus stopped at the Grant Arms Hotel in Fochabers. The hotel has rooms for rent, a dining room but I have no details of this. There are a couple of bars and a beer garden. The bar was very busy with a great atmosphere but service was quick...

First the staff: excellent - helpful, friendly and accommodating. The room was good, breakfast was fine - all in all a good stay in a small town. We stayed here after our first day of walking the Spayside way and we would stay here again. Too bad coffee culture hasn't reached the Highlands yet.

We stayed here while walking the Speyside Way and were given a large family room with a very good shower. The host was very welcoming as was the lady who served our evening meal and breakfast. The food was excellent - good quality, large portions and very reasonably priced. Very nicely decorated and a very pleasant stay.

Congenial locals, slightly demented owner with a dog called Basil. Parking was easy, room was comfortable. As they say in the language of the classics, 'caveat emptor', and in this instance the emptor was well pleased.

My husband and I stayed one night here while walking the Speyside Way. The hotel accommodation was very good, lovely large room comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. The publican was very cheery and friendly as we enjoyed a well earned drink in the bar and breakfast was good. We would certainly stay here again if in the area.

The publican is top rate. His understanding and love of whiskey was shared generously with us and he gave us different tastes of some truly superior drams. The other regulars were very welcoming and even though we weren't staying there we felt like part of the family. I would return in a heartbeat.
