Came here for an anniversary weekend away and was pleasantly surprised. The room was beautiful with a four poster bed and - because of an offer on their website - a bottle of champagne chilling on arrival. Rooms were named after whisky - our room was called Aberlour (we were delighted as we'd mentioned when booking we had relatives there)....

A great little place tucked out of the way, great food, and the staff are very friendly, the lady in the bar was new, had moved up from Milton Keynes , very chatty, happy and friendly and a pleasure to have serve you. On biz trips alone, having friendly staff makes all the difference. The room I had was huge,...

Pleasant enough in a mildly decaying way, quiet and clean, a pleasant lounge in the country house style. The host was present and enjoys entertaining his guests. A pleasant experience and well located for various outigs inthe area.

We went here for our of end of season meal and were not disappointed. The surroundings, the staff and the food were amazing. The gentleman who served us has only been there for a couple of months but is a credit to the owners of the hotel.

Stayed at this hotel whilst working in Forres for a week. Really enjoyed my stay, was made to feel comfortable upon arrival and this continued throughout the duration of my stay. Ate in the hotel every evening and had many enjoyable meals. There is a well stocked whisky bar too, albeit on the expensive side. Would definitely recommend.

My husband and I wanted a short break away without travelling too far, so we booked one of their special offer Autumn Breaks. This is a lovely old hotel with a great atmosphere. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room we were in was very spacious and relaxing - although the bed needs to be replaced. Even with...

Visited this hotel yesterday....spur of the moment decision. We had a drink in the bar then decided to stay for Dinner. The staff were all lovely, especially Petra. We both had steak and they were cooked to perfection and to the way we had asked. The green peppercorn sauce was to die for! We were not staying at the hotel...

Pleasant start to our evening out and meal, server polite and helpful then I am afraid it went downhill from there. I used to love the Knockomie, always looking forward to a lovely feast but this time as soon as our dinner arrived and we had our first bite I said to my partner " the Knockomie has a new...

The hotel room we had was okay, quiet old decor but bathroom was newish. Has a small cute bar and a separate restaurant with average food, very helpful staff, if a little inexperienced. Stunning scenery in the area. We went to the old mill inn in Brodie one night where they had live tradional music which was really good.
