We were greeted by friendly staff and the owner who could not have been more helpful with our check in. We were made to feel very welcome and bringing our dog didn't create any drama and they were able to accommodate our whole family. Apartment was great and excellent views when eating breakfast which was fantastic with a great choice for us all. Great selection of fresh fruits and cereals with a great cooked breakfast menu that we were able to specify what we wanted and how we wanted it. Set the bar high with the breakfast served this visit. I cannot recommend enough as we had a great experience and the hotel itself was clean and the facilities were faultless there is also a restaurant which had a great selection of food and they cater for all of the family so it ticked all the boxes for us. Anyone who goes on family holidays know how stressful travelling can be we were made to feel very welcome and checking in was so quick and easy. Very covid aware and we felt very safe as they have clearly set in place new guidelines in the hotel which they work to very well and clearly have a high standard set. We will most definitely be back again soon.

On arrival we were disappointed with our room no.7. There was very little space to put a suitcase or hang any clothes. The bathroom was very compact. There was a lot of traffic noise, not surprising considering it was a very sunny bank holiday week-end and our room was on the ground floor close to the main road. The lady assured us that the noise would die down over night which it did. There was some noise from dinner guests leaving late on Saturday night but as were still awake it was not a problem. The things which made our visit enjoyable were the lovely staff (who were very willing to fill our flask and freeze our ice blocks, despite being very busy) the views and the food, not necessarily in that order. At breakfast the beautiful bowls of fresh berries, for us to help ourselves to, (with our own spoon) were absolutely wonderful. We ate in the hotel on Saturday night and were given a table with the most gorgeous view. The sizzling steaks were very good value. The walk into town is very pleasant, the only downside is the steep hill at the end of the return trip. In non Covid times we would probably get a taxi or bus back. Overall we thought that we got good value for money and felt safe as all the staff were Covid aware. We would like to stay there again but perhaps in another room.

We were warmly welcomed on our arrival and throughout our stay were reminded of the Covid regulations. We felt safe and reassured from the moment we were welcomed. Our accommodation on the first floor was fully suitable and I have attached a photograph of the bed to illustrate the size of our room. We were there from Monday to Friday, initially on a bed and breakfast basis but we were thankful to know that we could could book for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed the meals. The food was first class, very well cooked and served. I have attached photographs showing breakfast and dinner meals. All of the staff were very friendly, efficient and informative. We recommend the Haylie without reservation and thank everyone there very much.

People will give of the opinion this is a good steak house it's not! It used to be. The last 5 times in a few years I have been here I have had to send my steak back! The beef Wellington the server tells you they are unable to do it rare medium or well done as its a guessing game! A terrible excuse of a bad cheff. Any time iv ordered a sirloin its been well done when iv asked for rare. The sides are tiny and pathetic. And it is over priced. It's been gradually declining for a few years and they are running on an out dated reputation.

We stayed for 2 nights in July to attend a wedding in the area. The room was well equipped and really comfortable bed. The hotel is on a busy main road and our room was on the front/side so there was some road noise which didn't really bother us but if you like a lie in best to ask for a room at the back. The staff were fantastic really helpful and friendly especially the young ones doing the breakfast- a lovely team. Food at breakfast was outstanding, genuinely one of the best ever!! We also made use of the gorgeous outdoor seating area with fab views. Great stay overall.
