We absolutely loved our 2 week stay at Northend. We've stayed in hundreds of hotels all across the world, and Northend would be one of the best stays we've experienced. And, it would give many 5 and 6 star properties a run for their money! Ray and Allison are the most wonderful hosts. They were so very friendly and helpful, and went the extra mile to make sure our stay was perfect (even surprising our son with a birthday cake, card and treats on his 6th birthday). Breakfast each morning was such a treat, with an amazing menu filled with locally sourced produce. We tried everything! And, everything was delicious, amazingly presented and superbly prepared. I'm honestly missing Alison's wonderful cooking!! Our rooms were perfect, very well appointed with incredibly comfortable beds and were consistently immaculately clean. Both rooms had lovely views across to Brisbane Glen, and its location means it's perfectly quiet at night. All the ingredients for a restful nights sleep. We can't wait to stay again!

Ray and Alison were the perfect hosts. Spotlessly clean Went above and beyond with bathroom and bedroom accessories, and breakfast was fantastic. They thought about everything and nothing was a problem for them Lovely view of the hills, just a 5 minute walk to the Barfield Theatre then a further 5 minutes to the restaurants pubs and shops

Northend is a wonderful, quite outstanding guest house. It deserves five stars for the very high standards of service, comfort and friendliness. Allison and Ray are attentive, and welcoming and keep their rooms immaculate and attractive yet cozy. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfasts are the real deal - the freshest smoked salmon we've ever tasted and the fullest full on Scottish breakfasts. My wife and I have stayed there on three separate occasions now, visiting family in Largs, and every time we've come away feeling refreshed and happy. Thank you Allison and Ray for another wonderful stay.

Another fantastic stay with Ray and Allison, they are the perfect hosts. We were welcomed with a pot of tea and a selection of tasty cakes and biscuits. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the attention to detail is spot on. Our ensuite room was spotless having every thing we needed for a comfortable and peaceful stay. The selection offered at breakfast is amazing, we would heartily recommend the porridge served with fresh fruit of your choice as well as honey and cream - just delicious. They use locally sourced bacon, sausage etc and everything is of the best quality. Northend is without doubt the best guest house in Largs.

The best B&B experience I have ever had. Allison and Ray made us feel so welcome. They went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure our stay at their guesthouse was a delight. The bedrooms were spacious, with tea, biscuits and treats provided. The amenities and products supplied in the bathrooms were generous. The breakfasts were divine! The gardens around the guesthouse are beautifully cared for and the guesthouse itself feels very much like a home thanks to Allison and Ray. Allison and Ray made sure my birthday celebration was one that I will forever look back on fondly. Their kindness, thoughtfulness and genuine hospitality made Largs a destination I would go back to simply to stay in their wonderful B&B again. Thank you, Allison and Ray. I hope to see you again very soon.

This guest house is top notch. I've visited several times now, and there isn't one thing I could criticise. The rooms are spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. The bedding is to die for. Breakfast gives you a lovely selection of fruit juices, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurts, preserves and pastries, followed by a expertly cooked cooked breakfast, with many choices. On top of that though, Allison and Ray are the perfect hosts. Just lovely people who can't do enough for you, and make every guest feel special. All this set a short walk away from promenade, shops and ferry. I couldn't recommend it any more highly.

This is an absolute gem. Firstly and foremost - Alison and Ray are superb and set this B&B well above so many others. They are the perfect hosts, who by the end of our stay, felt like family. They go out of their way to ensure you are comfortable and you have everything you need - often going above and beyond. Our room was immaculately clean and furnished beautifully - my daughter actually wanted to steal the bed it was so comfortable! Breakfast I feel was the best I have ever had - with lovely attention to detail, freshly prepared and plentiful. We can't wait to return here. Ali and Ray - thank you so very much.

Ray and Allison have raised the Bed a d Breakfast bar to a new level, my brother and I stayed one evening as part of a Scottish motorcycling trip, a quiet location, plenty of parking, a lovely view from our room, our friendly attentive hosts provided a pot of fresh tea and snacks on arrival, our room can only be described as immaculate hard to believe anyone had stayed in it before us. After a good night's sleep we we treated to a delicious breakfast a word of advice if you order the full Scottish don't plan on eating again anytime soon. The Scottish morning weather was monsoon like but forecast to be dry by early afternoon Ray and Alison kindly let us retain our room until the weather improved which was much appreciated. Thanks again for your hospitality the value and quality you offer is outstanding.

We have just spent a memorable two nights at Northend B&B. The owners Ray and Allison gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, with Ray insisting on carrying our heavy bags upstairs to our rooms! Each room was beautifully presented, with every possible requirement met. Apart from the magnificent views from the windows, we were thrilled with the Super King beds and the most comfortable mattresses we have ever slept on. Every necessity was catered for also, from chilled water each day to even an alarm clock at our bedside! The bathrooms were huge, 1 with a roll top bath as well as a self standing shower, not to mention the range of toiletries supplied too! The breakfasts were delicious, with a wide choice of items beautifully cooked to perfection and entirely to our liking. Nothing was any trouble for Ray and Allison. All in all, two sisters thoroughly enjoyed their stay at Northend B&B and will definitely be back again. Don’t miss visiting this 5* gem! June 5th 2022 M & L
