Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a very lovely B&B.
The best 2 nights sleep we had across a 6 nights break exploring the area and even including a 5 start hotel later !
This is a lovely place to stay, a great location, clean, warm, quiet and great access into Largs itself. Jackie and Ronnie are excellent hosts and we would definitely return.

Comfortable, spotlessly clean and a delicious cooked breakfast. Jackie and Ronny took great care of us from the moment we stepped through the door.
Great advice of where to eat locally and instantly helpful with anything we asked for.
Thoroughly recommended!

Received a warm welcome from Jackie & Ronnie. Perfect location no need for the car but on street parking us available. Chose not to have full Scottish breakfast as Morrisons en route to Largs Bay. Lovely short walk from through Morrisons car park and Largs picturesque railway station with beautiful gardens kept by volunteers. Opposite direction from Dawn Break is Douglas Park also beautiful and kept by volunteers. Quiet, clean and comfortable accommodation. I will definitely be going again and warmly recommend both Dawn Break Guest House and Largs itself.

Stayed here 21st May for one night. Wee bit of confusion with our booking (our fault) but this was no problem and Jackie had us sorted in no time. Absolutely beautiful guest house and spotlessly clean. Added bonus of meeting Trixie the dog. Highly recommend this place.

We were warmly welcomed by the family of Dawn Break, and had a lovely stay. The rooms were meticulously clean and comfortable. We were out more than we were in, but the place is in an ideal location. Well priced, comfortable, clean, and a pleasant friendly welcome. You can't ask for more, hope to be back another time 🥰

Beautiful rooms, immaculate. Lovely friendly owners (and gorgeous, friendly dog). Helpful info (enough, but not too much) in the Guests’ Handbook in the room. Excellent breakfast. If I come back to Largs, I’ll be staying here again. Thank you very much.

A good B & B. Clean and tidy. Beds made everyday. Bed linen very fresh and nice smelling. All towels were very fluffy which makes a nice change to some other B & B's and I believe to be important. Rooms are airy. We stayed in the rear of the house so did not experience any traffic noise, only when in the en - suite with the window open. But... my daughter and her partner who were staying at the front did experience traffic noise. Breakfast - we had to chose what we wanted the day before but if you did change your mind Jackie - host was very accommodating. Dawn Break Guest House is ideal for walking into the town of Largs. Only downside was that in our room we could not get a signal for Wi - Fi so if you were staying there for a business trip not ideal to stay in rear rooms. Overall a good stay. And Jackie is a great host.

We would recommend stopping here to anyone. It is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the town centre. Even though it is on the main road into Largs it is very quiet. The rooms we had were spacious and the bathrooms were immaculate. The breakfasts were excellent and Jackie and Ron were fantastic hosts. We will be back for another visit. Keep up your high standards.

Myself and three friends decided to do the 5 Ferries Challenge and we started by booking into the Dawn Break Guest House in Largs.
The accommodation and the consideration we were shown by Jackie and her husband was fantastic!
The rooms were spotless and breakfast was lovely too.
When we arrived Jackie said breakfast was from 0830 but when we explained that as a group of cyclists we needed to make our way to Ardrossan for 0945 she kindly brought breakfast forward by half an hour.
This flexibility was certainly appreciated.
Largs itself is a great place to start and finish the ride and I’d strongly recommend the Dawn Break Guest Housed. In fact as a group we’ll be doing it again next year and we’ll be staying with Jackie again!
