Westray is one of more remote of the Orkney Isles, so there's not much choice with hotels. This place was certainly ok, with pleasant staff and comfy, although very dated rooms. We ate in the restaurant for two nights, the fish and chips was great, rest of the meals were very average although the puddings were very good. Overall the...

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in Oct. We were a family party with 4 adults and a child. Our room was very comfy, clean and quiet (and warm!). The other room was a bit smaller but still comfy and clean. The hotel has a lovely restaurant which changes its menu pretty much every night. The food was...

Stayed for one night on a business trip and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Friendly staff, warm and comfortable rooms and excellent food. The Westray seafood starter with homemade oat cakes being a special treat. Looking forward to returning again. Even though I managed to lock myself out of my room!!

It takes some doing to get to Westray, and it's pretty isolated so you don't really expect gourmet food there. And this hotel is just about exactly what you do expect. Almost stereotypically, actually. I had fish and chips. The Haddock was clearly fresh and very nice. The chips probably needed to be crisped up a bit, and the peas...

Everybody gived us a warm welcome, the room was very comfortable and we were fond of restaurant's cooking, the cooked breakfast was also very good. We wanted going to Noup Head also we hired two bicycles from the hotel, it was so convenient ! If...

Very good and comfortable place, conveniently situated. Especially enjoyed the room, with views in two directions from separate windows. Arrival was slightly chaotic, and welcome to from accommodation staff a little lukewarm. Some areas seemed a little cluttered, though this also gave the place a homely feel. A few areas have been upgraded to look more modern, but this has...

I have stayed here a few times since 2012 on business trips and the rooms were a bit worn out and tatty but the food was always good. This occasion was a family holiday so we were tourists. Booked a table (place was empty) Ordered tea with the meals and extra well done haddock, tea came immediately and the fish...

As we watched our tent being converted into something resembling Shredded Wheat(from the safety of our Land Rover, we were actually drinking some nice vino as it all happened) by the mega storm that hit Orkney last week I phoned the hotel late evening and explained our predicament. No problem, a room is available they said. So off we went...

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it! Everyone made us feel so welcome - nothing was too much trouble and the dinner and breakfasts were great! The bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent - plenty of power! We really enjoyed how friendly everyone was and we had such a laugh in the bar with staff and...

A great place to stay with very friendly staff and very helpful as well. Prices were good value for money and the cooking was excellent. Well worth a trip, there is so much to see on Westray and this is an excellent base for exploring.
