Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was nothing my wife and I *didn't* love about this place. The Superior Apartment was just that: superior. The location (about 25 minutes south of Inverness on Loch Ness) was our ideal place. We traveled from Inverness to the Glencoe region and up to Rosemarkie with beautiful views all along the way and no excessively long drives (especially because so many things to see are on the way to others). Sheila (our host) is amazing, friendly, and a literal font of knowledge about nearby places and tips on better experiences. And the breakfasts were amazing and abundant. Nearby Drumnadrochit provided all we needed (and you must eat at Fiddler's when you go there). I could rave about this place all day. If you're an off the beaten path, look at the stars at night, sleep in the quiet and beauty of nature person, book this place! Tell Sheila you'll take Scott's table.

I thought the term bed and breakfast spoke for itself. But apparently at this bed and breakfast, breakfast is an optional extra at another £20 per head. The host provides the breakfast items but preparation and washing up afterwards are down to the guest! I hadn't realised this when we booked so we had to go out and buy food in with no help from the host re the nearest supermarket etc. When we arrived on a very cold day 9 degrees the room was really cold. We couldn't see any obvious heating controls but an email to the host (who lived on site but preferred to communicate by email) revealed they were hidden by a curtain. It was the next morning before the room felt comfortable. The heated towel rail in the bathroom was not working and awaiting a plumber so using the bathroom wasn't a pleasant experience. No notification of this before our arrival and no offer of a price reduction. The website for the Steading makes much of the fabrics and toiletries suggesting a cosy stay. Our experience was the opposite. Sterile and unwelcoming.

Beautiful steading in a fabulous location. Perfectly equipped and furnished with spectacular views over the countryside. Plenty of local restaurants and activities within a short drive…..car essential. Field of deer and stags at the bottom of the drive.

This is a beautiful experience. Lovely surroundings, the owners had thought of everything that made the stay that more luxurious. From the vase of garden flowers, whisky, white company toiletries and milk in the fridge. Great value for money and would definitely return.Thank you.

We stayed in the Store for 7 nights. Breakfast was provided in the room, enough for 2 for 2 days. This consisted of cereal (granola, wheat biscuits, muesli and porridge), milk, orange juice, yogurt, smoked salmon and fruit. There was also a small decanter of whisky and a bottle of sparking spring water which was a delight (the whisky more than the water of course!). The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned every 2 days. Fresh flowers were left on the dining table at the beginning of the week. The ensuite was a shower room with fresh towels, floor mats and dressing gowns. The shower was always powerful and warm. This accommodation is set back a fair distance from the main road so you are not disturbed by any passing traffic. It is very peaceful but you can be slightly disturbed by the guests up in the room called the Loft above and when it is being cleaned late in the afternoon. This place is in Dull, a nice, long riverside walk away from Aberfeldy. The walk is off the main road and takes over an hour.

This is a very nice place. It is quiet and cozy. The room we stayed in was very nice and modern. You have a stocked fridge with fruits, milk, juice and eggs with also some pastries and cereal for breakfast. You can cook or make the breakfast you like. The owner lives there and will help if needed. This is a place I would definitely go back in To

Just spent three nights here. The room was clean and well kitted out. Great shower in the bathroom. The beakfast that was provided was perfectly adequate, fresh and tasty. A very peaceful location too. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Location great for visiting lots of places of interest and for accessing beautiful walks.

The Steading was perfect for our stay. We booked 3 rooms for a family gathering and so enjoyed the lovely surroundings. The rooms are warm and welcoming with beautiful soft furnishings of the highest quality throughout. The kitchenettes work really well and include carefully selected fresh breakfast foods with an excellent selection and full range of tea and coffee options. The attention to every detail made our stay very comfortable and memorable. SarahJane could not have been more welcoming and helpful giving us advice about the local environment and places to eat. This area is a special place steeped in amazing history and the Steading is the perfect place stay to explore it. Julie and family
