My wife and I along with our friends visited the Cairn lodge for an overnight stay to celebrate our friends 50th Birthday. We stayed overnight, enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant and drinks in the bar.

The hotel is of a very high standard with beautiful decor. All areas are very clean and comfortable. The staff are attentive and friendly and will ensure your stay is enjoyable.

The evening meal was fantastic and all in our party thoroughly enjoyed what was served. The meal was a very good standard with reasonable prices.

Our room (room 2) was excellent. It is spacious, well appointed and very clean. Slippers and bathrobes are provided for use. The bathroom is equipped with a large shower cubicle and double bath. The shower has numerous settings. The only point for improvement in the bathroom would be to provide somewhere toiletries can be stored. Like the bedroom the bathroom is very spacious. The bedroom itself has a large double bed, TV with Freeview, tea/coffee making facilities, table and 2 chairs and a dressing table with its own chair. Complimentary still and sparkling water is provided. Like the bathroom there is very little to improve upon!

Breakfast comprises a continental buffet and fresh hot food. Again excellent standard served by friendly competent staff.

Our stay at the Cairn, meal and general experience was excellent. Keep it up, we will return!

Stunning hotel! Rooms and bar area/conservatory are finished to a very high standard which makes the hotel very warm and welcoming. Reasonably priced for one night which included a delicious breakfast. Most staff were extremely nice and bent over backwards to make our stay as nice as possible. However there was one bar man who was a bit grumpy (throughout the day as well) and refused to serve me another drink at 9pm because I had the hiccups which was a bit ridiculous and put a slight dampner on my evening. It was my 40th and our first night away from our twins but it was a quiet one and we were by no means drunk or loud. Anyway the manager sorted it and we got our night cap! Both managers were great very friendly yet professional. Overall a lovely stay and we would return.

The decor is lovely here-truly the most uniquely beautiful and tastefully designed rooms I’ve seen while traveling in Scotland over the years! The service from all staff members I’ve encountered has been exceptional in both willingness to go the extra mile to please and warmth, despite the challenging COVID restrictions placed upon hospitality in recent days. I had messaged the property the day before to request twin beds in one room and for a dinner reservation, and Louise immediately responded with positive replies. Our dinner was also excellent and was reasonably priced for this area and the five star experience provided. Both guest rooms we occupied were immaculate and beds extremely comfortable and when we arrived early to the property they arranged for our rooms to be ready hours before the promised time. We can’t wait to have our next stay!

It’s a lovely hotel with lovely staff but we felt they fell short of a 5 or even 4 star experience. Food was great although not a lot of choice in the menu and we did have a couple of very long waits in between courses. The staff were very attentive, but we felt that they tried too hard to appease. For instance when we arrived we had 3 staff members talking to us all at the same time, and telling us the same thing.
Sadly there were numerous little things in the room that we felt didn’t equate to value for money or a 5 star experience.
Points in the room -
Room was “very” small.
No bath and shower room was the smallest space ever.
No bottled water in the room but there were 2 glasses
No fridge
No big mirror in the room, only a very small one to dry your hair at.
Had to ask for milk in the 2nd day
No hand soap in the bathroom
Body lotion in the bathroom had been used.
Bathroom taps are very stylish but very impractical for brushing your teeth.
Bin very difficult to reach below the sink
Bathrobe tiny!! Very tiny and not soft and fluffy!
Bin liners didn’t fit the bin
These are all items that I think are standard in a 5 star establishment so we were very disappointed.
This was a romantic break and the setting was lovely, but sadly we feel that all the little issues with the room let this hotel down badly and certainly don’t reflect a 5 star experience.
Not value for money!!

We just returned from a 2 night stay at the Cairn Lodge. We had a family room with 2 adults and 2 kids, my parents also stayed and had a double room.
The hotel was lovely and in a beautiful location, lots to do in the local area to keep everyone entertained.
They had a lovely outdoor patio area where we could enjoy drinks round a log fire.
Breakfast and dinner were both delicious with lots of choice. The freshly baked breakfast pastries deserve a special mention!
All the staff we encountered during our stay were lovely - very friendly, helpful and nice to chat to.
My only two small negatives with the hotel were the price and some of the amenities.
We had to pay an extra £200 for having children in the family room over 2 nights - in total we paid about £680 for the family room alone. Family rooms (2adults/2children) rates quoted on the website do not actually include the cost of the kids in the room! I found this very odd (and frustrating!). Having proceeded to book then being charged an additional £200 to the rate I thought I was getting. I should add that we got a promotional rate and had the adults dinner included for both nights, but when the kids dinners are added into the mix, the rate was highly overpriced compared to other hotels of this standard.
The room itself was lovely and a good size, but was missing a few touches (more hangers, drawers for clothes, milk for tea, a fridge, dressing table). The handle was also falling off the cupboard in the room. Given the price we were paying, I expected more of the room.
All in all though we had a lovely stay and the staff made us feel extremely welcome.
We’ll definitely stay again but wouldn’t bring the kids as the family room prices don’t stack up for us.

Just returned from an awesome two night stay at this calming oasis of luxury with highly attentive staff under the professional leadership of Hamid Jahanfar. We knew from the moment we checked in and the warm, welcoming & personalised service we received from Moira that we had landed at a special hotel. Indeed, every member of the team that we had the pleasure to interface with was exceptional. So, thank you Hamid, Eileen, Mike, Richard, Moira, Anne and the young lady in the dining room ( our apologies, we never caught your name. However, you were excellent too and good luck with your forthcoming university degree course). You all work superbly well as a team ensuring that the customer & guest needs are paramount. Please keep up the great work. You are all a credit to yourselves, the Scottish hospitality sector and Cairn Lodge. We both truly appreciated your kind, professional, yet warm, hospitality. Honestly, the cuisine at both breakfast and in the evening was equally impressive, as were our pre dinner cocktails in the relaxing & chilled lounge area. Wines to accompany our meal were extensive and at a terrific price point. Again, perfect & friendly service from Richard and the team in the restaurant too. The onion soup was delicious and the clottie dumpling dessert was just yummy! We stayed in room four which was just beautiful. The bed and pillows were so welcoming and we felt so relaxed. Amenities on offer in our room and cleanliness in the room from housekeeping was again highly impressive. Our bathroom was large, modern and well equipped with stand alone super & seperate rain shower plus a massive & modern bath tub. Cairn Lodge is more than an hotel. It has a special feel that just envelops you when you arrive. It has truly special staff which makes an hotel extra special. It’s clear the staff take great pride in their roles and that shines through at this haven of peace & laid back luxury. As ex aviation & media personnel in our professional careers we loved our first visit to Cairn Lodge and we can’t wait to return. We’ve already highly recommended this superb establishment to our friends and colleagues and we look forward to returning very often in the future. Thanks to everyone. Cairn Lodge, it’s people, it’s cuisine & it’s ambiance made a highly positive impression on ourselves.

This hidden gem to be found in the leafy suburbs of Auchterarder is run and managed to a high degree of efficiency . The hygiene and cleanliness is impeccable , the furnishings and decor have been co-ordinated with careful thought . The restaurants standard of food would be difficult to match amongst many other similar venues throughout Scotland . The staff are both professional and courteous which in todays world is rare to find anywhere .

We had a wonderful stay in Nov. Our hotel room was small (we did book a small/standard room type) but it was beautifully decorated and proportioned and had everything we needed. The room was in a separate lodge building to the main hotel but had secure access. We had dinner and drinks at the hotel the night of our stay. Food was incredible, staff attentive and friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was just as delicious as dinner. The decor of the hotel throughout is beautiful and stylish.

After dinner we went to the hotel lounge for drinks which was lovely and relaxing. We were served by a lovely lady (I am so sorry that I have forgotten her name) but we had lots of great conversations with her - she also loved to travel and we had great chat about our experiences travelling in Asia. The friendliness of the staff and this lady in particular really made the stay more special as well.

The only suggestion I would have (which may already have changed since our stay) is that, as it was nov when we stayed, when we were walking back outside to head to our room, it was pitch black at night with the winter nights and although it is a very short walk there was minimal lighting in that area and the ground is slightly sloped/uneven. I did think to myself if it was a frosty night it could be quite a dangerous path so having good lighting there would be a great addition.

Thank you for a memorable stay, we would love to stay again!

We had a fabulous stay at Cairn Lodge for my partner’s birthday. Our room (5) had an oriental theme and was very spacious and opulently decorated with super-comfy king size bed! Beautiful modern bathroom.
The food was delicious (dinner and breakfast) in the conservatory restaurant and all public areas were so comfortable and relaxing, but I think being looked after by Jonathan, Hamid, Emma, Shaun and all the staff were what put the icing on the cake.
Cairn Lodge is a special place.....would highly recommend.

We visited for one night and didn’t arrive until 8pm but wish we had stayed longer. The staff were lovely and as we hadn’t eaten the manager found us a table in the beautiful restaurant at the last minute despite being fully booked. The meal was outstanding.
The room was lovely with everything we needed (except a fan, which we only noticed when it got a little stuffy later, although I’m sure we could have got one if requested!)
The breakfast was delicious and we took a leisurely stroll to Gleneagles the following morning which took around 20 minutes. Highly recommended.
