Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Staff were very welcoming. Room decor was pristine and very modern. Tribute experience was excellent, great atmosphere and great entertainers. Breakfast was ok although it looked as though the eggs etc had been out on display for a long time and it was lukewarm. That's the reason for 4 stars and not 5.

Went for a party night and was pleasantly surprised after visiting many years ago. Great venue, food, and atmosphere. The inside was warm, modern and inviting. Our room on the second floor would benefit from updating but all clean and ideal for our purpose attending a party night. Entertainment was really good and prices reasonable for a hotel. 👍🏼

We were given a gift voucher which included stay, 3 course dinner, bottle of wine and breakfast. Starter and main course were were lovely and tasty, 3rd course was cheese & biscuits. Breakfast was also very good with choice of hot and cold buffet. Room was ok although they told us it was recently refurbished. All in all a very nice stay (we used the voucher on our anniversary).

The positives first! The reception team were efficient and friendly. The food in restaurant in the evening was fine although the restaurant itself was cold! Now for the room! It was classed as a double . The only thing that was double was the bed which took up nearly the entire room and was far from comfortable and ready to be replaced. It was such a small room that it was very difficult infact impossible for 2 average size people to walk around the room at same time. A bit comical in many ways!! No space to open up a suitcase unless you put it on the bed! The bedside lights did not work. The only light was at the entrance of the room. The bathroom was also extremely small. The shower controls were loose on the wall. Only a small shelf for toiletries. Toilet seat loose. All in all this has to be the worst place we have ever had the misfortune to stay at on a Stay Park and Fly package and will definitely be staying elsewhere in the future. On this sort of package a hotel normally provides a bus service to the airport either courtesy or at a small cost. Unfortunately if you stay at a weekend this is not a service now provided and you have to pay for a taxi there and back. Total cost £17 each way which included airport drop off and collection fee of £10. If you are jetting off anywhere anytime soon please think twice about stopping here. Please note at weekends the hotel hosts numerous events in their function suite that makes a stay here with an early start far from a relaxing time!!

The bed was very comfortable and the room was basic but clean, I would have liked to be able to turn off the radiator as I do not like heating in the room. For what we paid it was good value for money. The tribute night the naughtiest was a great night the food was ok. Breakfast was really nice with lots of choice buffet style.

Absolute trampy pit hole from hell. Rooms are a disgrace. Our room was shoddy, there was a big burn hole in the curtains, paint peeling off the bed frame, carpet ripped up between the two beds, decore from the 1950s. The bathroom toilet was slanted and the noise from the pipes after flushing was horrendous. The toilet door was also slanted and the light shone brightly through the gaps when closed! Horrible, outdated, creepy awful place. My 7 year old was petrified of the sounds as well as the bunk beds that had strange bits of material hanging from the above bunk towards the lower. Because of this 3 of us huddled together in the tiny double bed. We tried to sleep but I was so afraid of potential beasties or bed bugs that I could not sleep at all. (Id like to point out that neither were found, the room just gave off potential vibes for that sort of thing) We spent no more than 4 hours in the room before leaving. The only benefit was the lovely driver that collected us from the airport. Guy was a legend and super friendly and helpful. He deserves better.
