Booked the overnight stay with spa and afternoon tea package which included 2 course dinner, breakfast, access to the spa, 30 min treatment and afternoon tea with Prosecco which was £228 which I thought was a steal!! Upon arriving the lady on the desk was welcoming and friendly and advised our room had been upgraded from a twin room to a double bed twin room. The room was big with two double beds and a large smart TV, clean and comfortable, a pleasant surprise from what we were expecting. A lot of reviews said the walls were paper thin but we could not hear a thing. 2 course dinner that evening was of high quality and tasty and staff were professional and friendly. The bar area was small but welcoming. Breakfast in the morning was great, a vast selection of English and Scottish (first time in Scotland so was looking forward to trying haggis!) hot and cold and fresh fruits and breads, the best coffee too!! The pool area could have done with a little work - tiles missing and dirt on the floors, would have been good if the boarded up jacuzzi was in use and more loungers around the pool (only 1!) Unfortunately for us being in school holidays there was a lot of kids, an adult only time of day or even section of the pool would have been welcomed. The 30 min massage though was lovely. Afternoon tea was lovely with a good selection of sweet and savoury. Would come back, the pool area definitely does need some work though!

Where to start... once checked in you need to make your way through a busy bar to get to the elevator ( not an easy task with suitcase and a packed bar). Make your long journey along a very dated and unkept corridor, crossing the steps to reach a set of doors to keep going to the very end. Opening the room door and well for £125 a night I must say I'm shocked. The room is dated, damaged furniture, pillows and bedding is old and stagnant smelling. The mattress is really old and covered with a really cheap protector. The tea & coffee sits at the entrance in a cabinet that resembles a prison cabinet. The room is covered in dust the walls are damaged and the cover up looks like it has been done by a 5 year old. The room has a very prominent stagnant smell that its catching my throat. The hotels website list room with: Housekeeping ( clearly not the room is filthy) Safe ( Doesn't exist ) Complimentary toiletries ( it's a shower cap.... nope I'm not even joking your Complimentary toiletries is a shower cap. The breakfast: Very good variety it is a buffet style breakfast. Variety in cooked breakfast, your full English/scottish with haggis Black pudding ect. Continental was lacking slightly very small side table with 1-2 pastries and some muffins. Overall the breakfast salvaged the somewhat dismal room. The staff: For the little interaction I had it's a split review. Clearly some didn't want to be working and it was obvious, and some well a little bit better but not the greatest. Reception staff was lovely she was informative and helpful. I have added photos Please read previous comments before you book. Such a shame because with a bit of TLC it could be incredible.

Comfortable bed in a nice large room, clean and functional with a nice bathroom. Hotel was very busy, so check in was slow. The bar and restaurant were also a bit slow. Breakfast was buffet style and was just ok. Hotel has a spa and pool, but did not have time to use them.

The hotel appeared lovely but the room we were allocated was 373 on second floor. There was a consrant noise possibly air conditioning or machinery for swimming pool below. I had the worst nights sleep and woke with a headache. I would not recommend this hotel.

My Mothers Day Afternoon Tea was perfect. The presentation, taste and amount of food was outstanding. Great singer and last but not least, staff member Gemma. You are abs lovely person, welcomed us with a warm and friendly face, couldn’t assist us more and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our day. We had the best time and already decided to book for next year and bring my Mum and Sister. Thank you so much Gemma xxx

Stayed here for 3 nights with my son as he was having an operation and it was close to the hospital. First impressions of the hotel was that it looked ok. Staff were welcoming and friendly throughout. Could not fault them. The room we were in is in serious need of attention. Marks on the bathroom wall above the sink and dirty behind the shower connection and it was coming away from the wall. The fridge in the room was bashed and marked and wasn’t cold. Our outlook was onto containers and a skip wasn’t a great view for staying 3 nights. The spa obviously isn’t regularly maintained throughout the day. First glance it looked unclean and when in the steam room there were hairs all over the floor. We didn’t stay long. Used the gym a couple of times but there is a lack of lighter weights, but was generally ok. Breakfast was good a good choice of food but the continental options could be regularly refreshed as the cheese was all dried up. The stairs leading to the rooms needed hoovered more regularly. There are maybe nicer rooms and maybe I should have asked to be moved.

Myself and my family came to the glynhill 3rd March 2024 to use the swimming pool and facilities in the spa area..I haven’t been to the Glynhill in a long time but had always had in mind it was a good place to go for spa..well I was shocked. The place was absolutely filthy ..everywhere from the changing rooms to the swimming pool ..I was horrified ..the smell was awful in the changing areas, toilets had no toilet paper and where dirty ..my partner asked for toilet paper and for the toilet to be cleaned and was told by the girl on the desk she couldn’t do it as not allowed when she’s only one working. The swimming pool had a line of scummy green much all the way around it and water looked very dirty. Then found there was no jacuzzi anymore and that’s been all bricked up. Showers where freezing and no power to them so had to stand there for about 10 minutes just to get washed properly. To top it off my daughter who is one was going upstairs just outside the spa door and her hands where filthy ..on looking at the stairs it doesn’t look like they have been cleaned or carpet renewed in years. Absolute horrified at the standards of cleanliness at the Glynhill and won’t be back ..we paid £25 for one admission if I had known the state of the place I would certainly not have went in especially for the price !

I stayed away for a work trip and I couldn’t have been happier with the hotel. They had a small gym area, pool and the best part about it was all of the gluten free options available for breakfast and the evening meal. It isn’t often hotels cater to this standard and it made my stay even better so much so I will stay here again even if it is that bit further away from my work location!

Welcome at reception from the young girl was lovely and friendly. Our room 125 I felt was very dated especially the furniture. There are glass surfaces on top of the tables which has old makeup stains underneath. The glass should be cleaned above and underneath it. The layout of the room was a bit inconvenient, such as the kettle is right where you would hang your clothes and so is the hairdryer where there is also no mirror. I felt that the lighting in the bathroom wasn't adequate for putting makeup on and the mirror doesn't have a light. I had to use the standing mirror in the bedroom, which can be moved about if need be, again the lighting in the room is dull. The hotel as a whole I feel needs a refurb to bring it up to date. Can't remember the last time I've been given an actual key, which is very large for carrying around, instead of a key card which for security reasons is a better option if the key got misplaced. The so called 'spa' is more a public swimming pool and has the feel of one. When coming out of the changing rooms to go back to our room we had to go outside and back into the main entrance with wet hair. If there is a way back to the rooms from the swimming pool to the rooms without going outside, its not very well sign posted! On a good point the bed was comfortable and the staff were friendly.
