Booked hotel for overnight stay to attend a wedding. Hotel and food were really good but very disappointed at the company policy of being unable to purchase drink from restaurant bar due to being a guest of wedding. Draft was off in wedding venue and restaurant bar would not allow us to buy draft and return to wedding venue with it. To get draft lager we had to sit away from wedding party. Very poor policy for hotel guests.

Staff and service was fantastic. Reception staff was very helpful with ice for the room and chilling some wine. Restaurant staff were all very attentive snd we ate outside for both lunch and dinner. Room was nice and the grounds are beautiful. Balcony at the hotel was perfect for pre (and post) dinner drinks! Only 4* as the breakfast was a bit dried up.

Booked dinner b&b deal through my hotel break. Check in was supposed to be 2pm according to our paperwork but on arrival we were advised it was 3pm. We were advised could be 20mins so as it was a lovely day we were offered our 'wine on arrival' which we enjoyed on the beautiful terrace. Staff were all extremely attentive and professional but we didn't actually get into our rooms until 3.50pm. This wasn't great as we were only staying one night and as best friends the four of us hadn't seen each other in a year so we really just wanted to arrive, check in and make the most of it. Rooms were comfortable and the Dyson fan was particularly appreciated as it was so warm. No shower gel in the shower though but we managed. Food at the restaurant was exceptionally good and portions were generous. Staff were again extremely helpful, knowledgeable. Bar staff were also great. The hotel told us they operate a no noise policy so for four 50 somethings who haven't seen each other in a long time this was a bit surprising that at 12:15am we were politely told of the policy. We were not playing loud music merely reminiscing and catching up. This did put a dampner on things so early night followed. Breakfast was lovely and staff were again great. Would we stay again? Doubt it ..bit of a fun sponge so don't go for a girls/oldies catch up this is more for a quiet couples night away. Pros food, staff & location Cons a bit stuffy even for us oldies. Late check-in and questionable duvet

Accommodation we were put in for the night of our wedding was freezing, it had a window that wouldn't shut and was broken. 3 hours waiting on a maintance man to turn up and say it couldn't be fixed. Not exactly a nice stay on your wedding night

Popped in for a bite of lunch with my two children. We got a warm welcome and shown inside to a lovely table. Our drinks came very quickly. My children ordered from the kids menu, fish and chips and chicken goujons. I ordered macaroni cheese. The food came quickly and it was delicious. The chips were lovely and crunchy and the fish and goujons were very fresh. The staff were all amazing, and our server was called Isla, who took lots of time to show my wee boy where the bathroom was. I also rally enjoyed the ambient music, it was a kind if bosanova style cover album, it was really soothing and enjoyable to listen to. I am looking forward to my next visit.
