Not value for money at all! Grotty rooms with tatty furniture. The bed was so worn it sank in the middle and the pillows had seen better days. £95 a night!! Breakfast not good either. After touring Scotland this must be the worst place we have stayed in

The hotel is located right in the town centre and is easy to reach from the bus station. The host was very welcoming and friendly. The stairs up to the room were quite steep and narrow and might be problematic for eldery people or when you carry a lot of luggage. The room was very cosy and clean and the breakfast exellent. Would stay again if back in Fort Augustus.

Fort Augustus is a beautiful small town right by the Lake. We were looking for a place to sleep overnight and we found Richmond House Hotel. It was located on top of a bar but we were there on a weeknight so it wasn't loud and we had a good night sleep. The room was nice and the common bathroom was clean and spacious. There was an electric kettle and teabags for us to use. Breakfast was good. The location was very easy to find as its on the main road. The price is a bit expensive though.

Really friendly bar staff and welcoming atmosphere. Visited twice during a long weekend stay in Fort Augustus for drinks. Bar man was very knowledgeable on gins and whiskies so we sat and tried a few on his recommendations! Really friendly people in there too. Loved it! :)

We stayed in the hotel on a Saturday night. The bar downstairs ( literally right under our room) was a nice rustikal bar. The TERRIBLE things was that you could hear everything. The bar was loud until 01:30 am in the morning, the band played until just before 11:00 pm. It was TERRIBLE overnight stay. We really wanted to leave in the middle of the night. We could hear every conversation in the bar, in the halls the incredibly loud music. The toilets flushing would release a waterfall like souls throughout the building which was very disturbing. We had had a hard day of sight seeing and traveling and just needed a quiet place to put our heads down. I do not recommend this place. We paid 99£ not worth it. Would have gotten more sleep in a tent or in our car.
