Traditional Highland hotel set in stunning scenery on the quieter, south side of Loch Ness. Offering simple rooms with fresh decor, friendly & down to earth customer service and a warm welcome. Our bar meals are freshly prepared using quality local ingredients alongside an excellent selection of whisky, local ales and small batch gins. We are well positioned for exploring the highlands of Scotland or as a start/end point for the North Coast 500 route. On the South Loch Ness trail, the hotel appeals to walkers, cyclists, motorcyclists and those looking for a relaxing break.

A special shout out for the 2 very lovely ladies who cooked us the most perfect scrambled eggs for our lovely early breakfast this morning . A great way to start the Xmas celebrations

We really loved this individual, charming and well-run hotel. Most noticeable was the efforts the staff made to take care of us, and indeed to make the hotel a hub for the local community. The menu is typically Scottish and the food was fine. The room had a spectacular view and so in this price range and location we found it suited us perfectly. We love the decor and the way the rooms are filled with interesting pictures and objects.

Stayed for 1 night and enjoyed an evening meal and then breakfast the following morning.
On arrival we were greeted quickly and informed of breakfast arrangements and how we go about getting dinner etc that evening.
Breakfast is pre ordered, continental is included within the rate and they offer a broad cooked breakfast menu including eggs benedict / royale, mega breakfast or a traditional full Scottish. The form needed to be filled out and handed into a box on reception by 8pm. Sarah who checked us in gave us such a warm welcome and made sure everything was ok!

The room itself was stunning, the owners have clearly invested in their rooms with bright modern decor which had a comfortable, traditional feel. The room looked out over the mountains, it was so quiet which made it an excellent nights sleep. We visited at the time of the heat wave and the room was lovely and cool. The tunnocks caramel was a nice touch in the room also the complementary shower gel and shampoo were a nice touch. The hotel also provided miniature tooth brushes and toothpaste with an honesty box so if you forget anything you are well looked after.

The hotel has a residents lounge, wonderful comfy sofa’s with amazing views. Here you’ll find games, books and even a record player to entertain you. I’d imagine should the weather not be so good, this would be cosy and easily pass a few hours.

The bar area has a retro feel too it, beautifully decorated and I have to say the big thing that stands out at this hotel is the service and attentiveness. As a resident you just set up a tab for you stay and everything is paid on checkout, this really helps you relax as no money is needed on you etc. We had a table booked and chose to sit outside to have our meal, we had a the steak pie and lamb from the specials menu. The prices were reasonable as mains are between £11-£17 at the top end, they also offer steaks etc should you like one. Everything was beautifully cooked and again the lady serving us was so lovely, offering to take our picture in the sun, fetch us more drinks, she couldn’t do enough.

Breakfast the next morning is served in the restaurant, this is a stunning room, feels really upmarket and clearly the owners have spent some money here. The breakfast was plentiful, we had the traditional Scottish for £10 each which included toast, orange juice, hot drinks. The lady (apologies I didn’t catch her name, she was different to the two previously mentioned) offered us more toast, drinks etc and made sure we were ok. The food was lovely, fresh with haggis and black pudding. “A proper Scottish breakfast” I would say!

Check out was really easy, the younger lady who served us our meal the night before checked us out and again made conversation about our stay and our day ahead which just made you feel so valued.

Do not hesitate booking here, you will be very well looked after and have a fantastic nights sleep. We will be back very soon

We had an amazing 3 night stay here. If you want quirky, homely, crazy this is the place to go! Every member of staff was so friendly and helpful. Our room was great size and whilst it wasn't glitz and glam this is a Highland hotel with warmth and curiosities that make your mind boggle, absolutely our style. We had 3 evening meals and each was delicious. Breakfast was very good with lical homemade preserves.

This hotel has amazing decor and we felt thoroughly warmed by the friendliness, the bar music mixes and the general hospitality offered, plus it was a perfect location for exploring the beautiful Loch Ness region.

Truly a 5 🌟 stay for us.

Stayed 2 nights , very dated and dark hotel. Our room had a tiny shower with a toilet and the hand basin was in the bedroom! Only hanging space was a rail with a shelf above! Continental breakfast was provided but if you wanted a cooked breakfast there was an extra charge, which at £130 a night is poor value considering we paid £85 a night at our previous hotel which had much nicer rooms and a full Scottish breakfast. Having said that, dinner was nice and a couple of staff really friendly. The young man on reception charged both rooms to the couple we were with, which wasn't what we wanted but we sorted that ourselves. Don't think we'd return as there are better cheaper hotels out there.

Sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay with us. We work exceptionally hard to make sure that all of our guests have a brilliant stay and we never feel good about it when we get reviews like this. The hotel decor is deliberately 'nostalgic' and is enjoyed by many as you can see from our other reviews. However, we do recognise that this aesthetic is not appreciated by everyone and sorry it didn't work for you. The hanging rail that you refer to was handcrafted from whisky staves by a local craftsman - we took the decision a few years ago to remove bulky and unnecessary furniture from the rooms and commissioned bespoke rails with shelves above them -there are many benefits to us and to guests for adopting this approach to hanging space in our bedrooms. You paid £130 per night for a booking through a third party booking site - Booking.com. Our best rates are directly with us and we would recommend you book direct if you would like to benefit from the best rates. We are glad you enjoyed the food and found the staff to be friendly - we all tried to make sure you had a good stay and wish you well in finding hotels that better suit your preferences.

We've just returned from an overnight stay at the Whitebridge Hotel and all that I can say was that it was excellent. The owners and staff are all friendly, welcoming and very hospitable. We arrived early afternoon and were shown to our king-sized bedroom, which was light, airy and clean. A few drinks before dinner, meant meeting the other guests in the residents lounge. Clearly everyone was in the mood for fun and we all enjoyed a couple of hours getting to know each other. The owners kept us supplied with refreshments and the news that themed stays were available for all. There was no doubt that we all wanted to be on the email list and kept up to date with everything on offer.
The evening meal was from an extensive menu, and we thoroughly enjoyed a three course meal, at excellent value.
This hotel is furnished with warm comfortable and interesting articles, most of us actually went home with photos of the toilets, ha ha ha. You have to see it to understand.
Situated in the heart of the Highlands, this hotel is definitely worth a visit, on route to Inverness or Fort Augustus, but better as an overnight, or a weekend away.
We had a fantastic time and will definitely be going back.

Stopped in here for dinner as we were staying at the Wildside Lodges, the staff were absolutely fantastic, very accommodating and friendly. Our dog Cooper was very welcomed also, his carrots served to him on a plate peeled and with garnish. Sunday dinner the next day was probably about the best we've had, the food was delicious.
I was blown away with the decor so quirky and so much to catch your eye, recommend here 100%, friendly staff and very charming hotel.

My partner and I had visited Whitebridge Hotel for food and drinks in Jan 20 (whilst staying at Wildside Lodges) but as our return 7 day visit to Wildside in Jan 21 was cancelled due to COVID we chose to reschedule to stay at Whitebridge Hotel. We received a phone call on the pm whilst travelling up asking if we would like a table booking for dinner on our arrival evening, after a really long journey this was appreciated. Our king size room at the front of the hotel was perfect, loved the spacious bathroom, comfy bed and views. Good choice of drinks and sitting having drinks at the bar was perfect. Favourite meal was chicken fajitas, also enjoyed the steak pie followed by sticky toffee pudding. Such a lovely quirky hotel in a picturesque location and competitive room rates, local walks guidance was given to us by staff which was helpful with us not wanting to drive too far after our 7 hour journey.

We were on a mini Highland tour and were looking for somewhere on the south coast of Loch Ness. It is a fantastic place, and it was ideal for us to get to Inverness and the Moray firth the next day. The hotel is really quirky, a mix of original features and eclectic accessories. The staff are very warm and friendly and make you feel at home. The room we had was lovely, with great views of the valley and surrounding hills. I'm sure we saw an eagle from the bedroom, scanning the fields in the morning for "breakfast"
The bed was the most comfortable we encountered on our trip and the room was so quite considering the winds swirling around outside.
The restaurant is very popular, so if you're not a resident, you're best to book in advance. Our dinner was great, and nosying at other plates, but all looked great.
The breakfast room is lovely with great views, the continental was enough for me, my wife loved her fried vegetarian breakfast.
I'll definitely return if I'm in the area again, and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed two nights to meet Nessie and tour the Loch, we had our meals in the restaurant

Breakfast included in the fairly basic room. However, you can order complementary dishes at an additional cost. These are good

We were in Scotland for our wedding anniversary, a decoration had been put in our room as well as on our table. attention much appreciated.

The quality and quantity of the dishes served in the restaurant are excellent. Fresh and well-cooked products. Served very generously.

The hotel is very simple but very well decorated, it feels like a house. The welcome, whether at the bar, restaurant or breakfast, is very good.

The room is simple, but very clean. Perfect kettle and coffee tea kit.
The room is, however, very humid (certainly linked to the location of the hotel and the November climate)

One of my favorite establishments during our stay in Scotland. If we come back there we will stay there again without any worries.
