Stayed here for one night as part of our NC500 journey, for the price it was fantastic! Clean, spacious, quiet and a friendly welcome from the staff. Only negative (which is NOT the properties fault) is that it is quite a lengthy walk to the only pub within Applecross for tea (the nearest shop is 1 mile away and was...

Hartfield hostel is good for quick visit in Applecross. Friendly and helpful staff. Little bit hard to find from main road. Clean rooms .good and functional kitchen. Wi fi conection in all rooms. ....

We spent only one night at the Hartfield House but we really enjoyed it. We booked a double room: clean, simple and very nice. We especially appreciated being able to use the kitchen, perfectly equipped, clean and handy. There was also a living room, warm and cosy, with lots of books and comfortable sofas. Stayed for 1 night in a double room with shared facilities (2 rooms to toilet/shower room)! As far as hostel standards go.. this one is excellent! The room was basic but bright and clean. Kitchen area was spotless. Best of all they allow dogs to stay for free! If driving later at night or after dark, take it easy along...

Really clean, good bedding and warm ! Beautiful setting with highland cows nearby! Vry nice lounge filled with National Geographic and guide books. Big kitchen for self catering and friendly staff. Would recommend.
