Lovely hotel.Setting is wonderful and very quiet! Beautiful local walks! Attentive staff, friendly and helpful! Good clean rooms, although the bathroom in ours could do with some updating! Superb food! Dog friendly.

Thoroughly recommend Coul House Hotel, great food, grounds and service. The staff were extremely helpful and we had a delicious dinner and breakfast. Our room was small, but clean and sheets and towels were of a lovely quality.

We arrived at the hotel to be met by a very helpful young lady who offered us a larger room at a drop of a hat saying as we had our dog with us. The larger room was beautiful and had everything in that we needed for our two night stay. From then on we were made to feel most...

Arrived up the long driveway to this beautiful hotel and were greeted by a roaring log fire when we walked in. We went up there to visit family friends and we had a lovely light lunch in the lounge sitting in the bay window overlooking the garden and the snow capped hills. What a perfectly chilled out experience it was...

Lovely hotel hidden at the top of a driveway about half a mile long. Very convenient for the first or last night of the NC 500 if one is flying in /out of Inverness as only about forty minutes from the airport. We had soup and sandwiches on arrival mid afternoon, and dinner in the evening, as well as the...

The current owners have clearly embarked upon managing this hotel as a labour of love, as the annual "progress reports" in a binder in each bedroom attest. There is a pleasing atmosphere of continuity throughout, with unobtrusive but most effective service. Our room was very comfortable with a recently refurbished bathroom with a particularly good shower. Dinner was excellent including...

A proper family run bespoke hotel with attention to detail in every way possible we only stayed for one night but felt like a home from home. The rooms, food and the people are just fantastic, Susannah (And bella the dog) made us feel very welcome we will return but stay longer next time to explore more, one of the...

This was a lovely last night stay on our tour along the NC500. Everything from check-in was smooth and professional - it ticked all the boxes for us! We were upgraded to a nicer view room which was lovely and the bathroom had been recently renovated which you could tell. Couple of teething problems but nothing that spoilt our stay...

Popped in here today on impulse and enjoyed a very reasonably priced classic afternoon tea in beautiful surroundings of a Highland Shooting Lodge.Obviously also child friendly as books and toys for children and a fairy trail in the extensive gardens which we didn't have time to explore. Simple tea (or coffee) comes with home made shortbread and scrummy tablet but...

Our family spent one night at the Coul House during our short easter holiday break to the highlands. Having two young boys in our travelling party made me slightly apprehensive as to whether we should book this particular hotel, as I was fairly certain that its peaceful serene surroundings would attract guests looking for exactly that. To what extent our...
