Called in one lunch time. There were just the 3 of us. Have never been here before when there has been such a lack of diners. Appears that they have only just started opening for lunch on the day we were there. The service and the food was all that you would expect. The desserts match the standard on the...

What a find, great hotel! From the very warm welcome to the truly amazing food, I loved my stay here for a business trip. The rooms are well kitted out in terms of what you need and although a bit basic, I really liked it! Nice touches in the room from sparkling water to fresh fruit, the room was lovely...

This restaurant is set on the outskirts of Tain, just off the A9. Ample parking and a ramp for wheelchairs. On entering the restaurant you are met by very friendly staff and are shown into a lovely room with panoramic views across the Dornoch Firth. Really lovely setting. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently and we didn't have long...

We also were a group of eight golfers, and I pull have to echo every single point made by a previous but unconnected group. Food and service were genuinely first class, the food choice extensive and abundant - we also found a couple of wine "gems" hidden away on the wine list. Particular thanks must go to Shona and to...

I've been Constantly travelling this past year or 2 all over the world and in some rather fine destinations but nothing feels quite like home. Well near enough home. The owners at Carnegie provide an excellent service and for my first of which will be many visits made me feel like i had been several times previous. Both husband and...

Found this establishment by being linked to Tain Golf Links. It proved to be a wonderful port of call for my golfing excursion to Brora, Royal Dornoch and Golspie Golf courses. Proprietors Derek & Heather very helpful in organising golf bookings, further accomodation for the balance of my trip. Staff friendly and helpful, food good and the accomodation quiet and...

We had the three course meal from the set menu. Haggis parcel for starter was special. Fantastic value and very good service from the two waitresses. This was our second meal there and will definitely be back.

Stayed here after a B&B cancelled my booking. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating even assisting to find me a taxi late in the evening on the day of arrival. The rooms were simple but super clean. The full scottish breakfast in the morning was amazingly delicious. Had a great conversation with the owner (Derek I believe was his...
