My wife and I enjoyed our stay in this hotel where we met friends from France who were on a tour of the Highlands. We all had a good time and our friends felt that this was their best sleep on their tour and excellent food

My first impression was of a rough drive way with the odd pothole at the entrance. The food ad dinner was disappointing, cold and tasteless. Similarly the breakfast. I did not feel they cared about their guests as the staff not very friendly or helpful. When I looked at the facilities I noted the fire extinguishers were not tested or...

Warm welcome from efficient reception, although late at night. Room warm and clean, with good sized bathroom, bath contained shower. Meals good, with fine omelette at breakfast on Saturday, though no cooked breakfast to order on Sunday, however more than adequate choice of traditional breakfast items. Lounge and bar very comfortable with a pleasant relaxed atmosphere. Great selection of spirits,...

The room was great. Climbing into and out of the "oversized bath" to use the shower was tricky. Had a wonderful sleep. Unfortunately the staff at breakfast were not really interested - just going through the motions. Really spoiled the stay.

We had a 1night stop for dinner , bed and breakfast, on our way round part of route 500. After lots of driving it was just so relaxing to find this peace haven. Big room, big bed, big sofa, big bath. Lovely staff and great food

Stayed here for one night on our way back down from John o groats. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our bed was uncomfortable so maybe new mattresses would be good. We had an evening meal and breakfast here, couldn't fault it. The food was perfect. We would stay here again if we're ever up there again. Enjoyable.

One night stay during our trip on the NC500. Room was on the first floor with windows overlooking the bay. The decor was antique and the red flat screen TV looked out of place. Breakfast was excellent with a big choice. Full cooked for me.

We were given a lovely, spacious room with a bow window facing the beautiful Dornoch Firth. Staff were excellent and very helpful and the food was exceptional. We were there for three nights B&B and had dinner on two evenings and had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

Good sized bedroom, nicely furnished in the appropriate period style. Huge wooden doors, nice wallpaper and a fireplace. Wide sweeping staircase down with well proportioned public rooms. Extensive menu (perhaps a bit too extensive for comfort) and decent enough breakfast, although I was left feeling I'd "asked for more" when I asked for more toast and was presented with 1/2...
