Booked this place for business for 4 nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were comfy and well priced. A well stocked bar and restaurant with plenty of others to choose from round about, with access to golf club at discounted rate also. Really...More

The room was OK but overlooked the parking lot and messy trash bins. No toiletries were supplied, and if you like to shower using a washcloth, bring your own. The carpets throughout were worn and soiled. My room was over a loud party with live...More
Great hotel quality easily matches many holiday inn etc, that I have stayed at though superior in charm and uniqueness.

This hotel is a fine old building in a commanding central location. My room was comfortable and had a nice view looking along Tain's High Street. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I very much enjoyed my two-night stay.

Hello there, apologies I did not see your question earlier. I was quite surprised by the hotel as I kind of expected the same, but it was very quiet when we were there, the restaurant was ok, however I'd recommend the restaurant by the station. It is ageing a bit, but the friendly staff and location more than made up for it as it was nice to be central. I believe the place was very busy at one point when the oil was booming, however the the terminal nearby has pretty much all but closed its door and I believe the whole town is quieter due to this. I was just in a single room, which was a bit on the small side, but I'd imagine the family rooms would be a lot larger. There is no smoking in the hotel by law (UK laws now). My room was cleaned daily. I dare say there is better hotels around Tain, however they're a bit of a distance. I was happy, but was only there on business. I hope this is of some help to you guys, and that you enjoy your trip, it is what you make of it that counts :)

"Room 26 was small but had everything I needed. It was warm, had good facilities and was immaculately clean."
