I often get emails from Simpsinns so when the dinner, bed and breakfast offer for December came up we decided to book. The welcome at reception and the room we were given, started a great overnight stay. The food at dinner was exceptional and the wine list complimented it. The wifi was the only disappointment, very patchy in parts of... More

Stayed here on Saturday the 29th October. The room was fabulous. Very spacious and spotless. The bed was HUGE and so comfortable. Only downside was that our room was very very warm during the night even after opening the window. At 4am I found a fan in the room which I promptly used and what a difference it made. The... More

Absolutely brilliant. Room was big and comfy. Meal was great. We had loads of cocktails and the staff is very friendly. Breakfast was fresh fruit and the had an excellent selection of hot meals just didn't have time. Nice and cosy with the wood fire

My wife and I visited here for a impromptu midweek meal. The restaurant was not busy and we were allowed to choose a table anywhere. The staff were first class as was the decor, menu and the value. Haggis starter, sirloin steak main followed by sticky toffee pudding dessert. The only drawback was I was driving therefore couldn't enjoy more... More

I was getting the boat from Cairnryan the next day and needed a base on the west coast of Scotland, very happy with my choice! My room was large, the bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. The shower was great as were the free toiletries. The only slight negative was the air con fan that is plugged into... Very friendly and clean. Not outstanding but a good base for exploring the area. Food was good but again not exceptional. Rooms spacious and comfy. Just what we needed for a one night stay whilst visiting relatives locally. Good value.

Visited here for a family dinner the food was ok but had been heated then reheated in a mincroeavr as half of our dishes were half cold. Sent a few back only to be heated in one part again and not another. Waited for drinks longer than a table that came in after us. Won't be back

I stayed at this hotel last night in preparation for an early business meeting this morning. I have to say it is the worst nights sleep I have ever had. I was allocated room 102, upon early evening arrival I entered a freezing cold room as the windows had been left open and the radiator was turned off. I could... More

Stayed here for a couple of nights while we tackled some of the local golf courses. Our room was perfect, modern, clean, everything we needed. The bar and eating areas are really good. Staff were excellent - from reception, bar, dining, cleaning - all the way through. Would recommend this place. You are about 10 mins from Troon - £5... More
