Expensive but worth it. We had a perfect overnight stay. Faultless and the best meal we have ever had. Staff were first rate. Very pleasant and well trained. Rooms most comfortable. Grounds nice for a walk in good weather. We will go back soon.

We have just spent three nights at Glenapp Castle we have been planning a trip for years and I can say we weren't disappointed in any way. The castle and its grounds are stunning we stayed in the Knockdarrin room and it was beautiful and so comfortable, it was also very dog friendly as we had adoor directly to the... More

Visited this hotel in November with a business colleague. What a superb hotel. We arrived at the gated driveway and informed the person at the end of the telecom we were here for lunch. The gates opened and we made our way up the mysterious and enchanting lane to the castle! What a superb property awaited us at the end... More

I have stayed all over the world in some pretty amazing places, but this is just about the best. Spent 3 nights here with a group and thought it was excellent. The room was huge and amazingly furnished with a fantastic view over the grounds and out to sea. There was even a secret staircase in the corner of the... More

This grand yet intimate hotel is probably my favourite in the UK. With grand proportions, the lovely rooms are comfortable with timeless appeal. The staff could not be more attentive- many have been there for a long time and really care about the place. Food is delicious- most from the estate with its magnificent garden. The Views over the sea... More

I booked this through a Virgin Experience voucher. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. The castle is beautiful & we had a walk around some of the gardens before we went in for our high tea. We were seated in a lounge area. My only criticism being that the tables and sofas were too low seated for... More

Your every need is anticipated and catered to. I told my travel agent we wanted High Tea at a castle. She booked us for a nights stay at Glenapp. High Tea was extraordinary, just what I would have expected for a proper tea. We also had 3 courses for dinner which was beyond compare. Between tea and dinner we strolled... More

Visited the newly opened Garden Tearoom in the walled garden with my niece for soup and sandwiches and found a little gem. An old potting shed, very tastefully decorated, great food and value for money. Could have done with being a little warmer (its Scotland after all) and the seats might not be as comfortable as they could be, but... More

Visited this lovely new addition to Glenapp Castle. On arrival everyone was friendly and very courteous. The tearoom in the walled garden is lovely and nostalgic, with some lovely touches. The food was superb, and everything is sourced locally. No booking necessary, but advisable to ring first to make sure not busy. After a light lunch, had a lovely walk... More
