Thank you Helen and John for such warm hospitality and in such a friendly and welcoming setting to tick of my dad's bucket list of visiting the town our family originate from . Had a very nice few days and would definitely return again.

Warm, friendly welcome. Lovely house and rooms cosy and extremely well equipped. From bathrobes, lotions, clean facilities to delicious home made biscuits and a top notch cooked breakfast in creative surroundings. We had an unexpected but enjoyable visit and would love to return in better weather to appreciate the scenery.

We stayed here during our Land's End to John O'Groats bike ride. It was a wonderful sunny day when we arrived. We were invited to sit out and were given tea with cake within 5 min or getting there. What a welcome! Great to relax and enjoy the great view of the hilly countryside. A very sweet dog come to...

Stayed here for one night and the accomodation and food was excellent. The hosts couldnt do enough for us. Also pet friendly and helped with our onward journey. Evening meal was also excellent and retired to rooms to sleep off. Fantastic

We stayed here at Christmas and New Year with the previous owners Graham and Verena Soanes and had a wonderful time. So sad that they have moved on. However we now hear that the new owners are doing B&B. we wish them well but thought we should let others know that this Guest House has changed hands in case anyone...

We visited Holmlands on a Groupon voucher recently and have to say it is one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. Our room was very spacious and extremely comfortable with great views of the River Clyde and the surrounding hills. Shortly after our arrival we were treated to an excellent dinner which included homemade sweets. Afterwards we...

We spent a night here and can't recommend it enough. We also had a really nice evening meal. Lovely sized rooms, very clean with all the facilities we needed. We took our dog, who was also very welcomed. I think there would be a lot of good walking in the area in decent weather as the surrounding countryside goes on...

Our stay here was a surprise Birthday Gift and exceeded our expectations. Very attentive and friendly hosts, comfortable and spacious room with beautiful view over countryside and delicious breakfasts and dinners with lots of choice. A couple of weekends prior to this we stayed in a 4 star hotel which in no way matched our very enjoyable stay in Homelands.

Thank nancy r
