Linda was the perfect host, great room and Linda made you feel at home as soon as she meets you. Breakfast are second to none and always happy to assist and provide great meals. Her knowledge of the area was great for traveller tips of what to see and do. Great accommodation
The B&B is one of the best I have ever stayed in. Our room was huge, spotlessly clean, well appointed and quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. Linda and Colin are wonderful hosts and I felt so at home that I was feeling guilty at not doing the washing up! Free parking as well. It is just up the road from Bridge of Allen which has a number of pubs and restaurants for eating and a small supermarket if you want to buy other things. Bridge of Allen is a great place to use as a base for sight seeing. Duone Castle, Stirling Castle, Stirling in general, Dumbarton, Bannockburn, Falkirk, including the Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies are just some of the places you can get to in a very short space of time. There is a train station a short walk from Kilronan House so you can get to Glasgow or Edinburgh if you want. However a car is very useful.…
This B & B was top class with the hosts very friendly and the rooms are large with all amenities including a small fridge in the reception room for milk and anything cold the guest wanted store. Breakfast are superb with a full cooked breakfast. Host very informative about attractions in the area and took interest in how the day went when arrived back to the house. Good wifi and nice touches everywhere, will be back and have recommended to many people on our trip..
Stayed 3 nights at this excellent B & B for the first time. Large Victorian house which is very well kept, clean and spacious. Ample off road parking although driveway entrance would be a tight fit for a large car. Use of large lovely lounge for reading/ relaxing if desired. Fresh milk in small fridge thermos for in room tea/coffees. None of these wee UHT plastic/foil lidded throw away sachets! Hostess is welcoming, friendly and can offer advice on local things to do etc. Breakfasts were lovely with good choices, excellent quality ingredients cooked perfectly each day. Personally we would like option of a poached egg rather than fried or scrambled only but very minor issue and admittedly we did not ask so not important. We had the twin room which was very large, clean and nice adequate en suite with toilet, basin and shower. Situated in quiet part of the town but only a few minutes walk from Bridge of Allan centre street with shops, restaurants and cafes. Would readily stay again for any future visit needs.…
We recently spent a couple of nights at Kilronan, for the second time, and it is a quality place to stay. It's set in a quiet part of the town but only a few minutes walk from Bridge of Allan's main streets. The house has loads of character and it's kept spotless. The rooms are large and comfortable and have a good bathroom. There is tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits as well as a good TV, hairdryer and plenty of storage space. The beds are pretty big and very very comfortable Breakfasts are excellent - quality food cooked perfectly. The couple who own and run Kilronan are welcoming, friendly and very helpful
