Margaret and John are such great hosts, with so much local knowledge and experience. Warm, comfortable guest house and amazing home cooked breakfast. Margaret’s porridge and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs should not be missed! Nothing is too much trouble. Bowmore is the ideal place to stay for exploring Islay.

Small very pleasant guest house located walking distance from city center, shopping, bars and Bowmore distillery. Owners are unbelievably friendly, like when your grandma welcomed you home for a visit. Rooms are immaculate and clean and the showers are amazing! And after a really nice night’s rest you get this over the top breakfast. Perfect toast and marmalade, good tea but if you get the chance, choose the scrambled eggs with smoked Scottish salmon—so very good. Nearly no need to eat lunch after this feast.

We spent two wonderful nights here in Bowmore hosted by Margaret! She was really kind and helpful and cooked for us amazing breakfasts! The B&B is so silent and comfy and is located just few minutes driving from everything reachable on Islay!

Great accommodation. Margaret and John were very welcoming and helped us out (a lot) with places to go and phone numbers etc. room was spotless and breakfast delicious and freshly made to order. Shower pressure was excellent. Could not fault this guest house and would absolutely recommend to others

Ideally situated in Bowmore ( a good base for touring the distilleries) Spotlessly clean, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Great made-to-order breakfast. Margaret and John make it feel like you're visiting family. Tapadh leibh!

Was over in Islay for a wedding and stayed at Lambeth house with my partner and 10 month old baby. Margaret and John were fantastic hosts who went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. The room was very big and fit our travel cot and the breakfast was fantastic. They gave us great advice for our time on the island which has set us for a return in the future.

I have stay here every time I come to Islay. It is exceptional 10/10 . Margaret and John are just the best hosts and make you feel at home . The rooms and beds are amazing and it is so homely and immaculate . Breakfast is fantastic and sets you up for the day . I shouldn’t tell you how good this place is because there won’t be any room for me . Ideal location in Bowmore and just the perfect place for a homely stay in the most comfortable home . Best b&b in Islay by far . Xxxx

Amazing bed and breakfast. Exceptionally clean and furnished to high standard. Breakfast is out of this world. Slept like a baby.. Margaret and John are an amazing couple. Highly recommend. In central location in town and easy walking distance into town
