This b&b is situated just outside, but within walking distance of the bowmore centre. The hosts are welcoming and know the island, whether it's whiskey, history of the island, or nature you are interested in. The breakfast is copious and includes haggis for those who would like to try it. The rooms and the bathroom are clean and the bedroom...

This is a great location just a couple of minutes drive from Bowmore with shops and eating places, and centrally placed to explore the island in all directions. Islay is a lovely island with much to see and do, although some facilities do close down at the end of October. We stayed 30th October until 5th Nov, and the main...

I stayed here for two nights while on Islay on business and I would go back to stay here for leisure . Its a very comfortable, well presented house and the breakfast was perfect. The hosts are most welcoming and friendly. Its just outside of the main part of Bowmore but if you are driving it's two minutes and walkable...

We've been there for some nights last august and I can tell I've never seen before a B&B so nice, clean, in a wonderful position and with beautiful views. Rooms are clean and real comfortable, nice bed, lovely views from the room. Landlords (Fiona and Alan) have been the most polite, nice and useful I've found till now. Fiona has...

We recently spent 3 nights at Allandale and were delighted by every aspect of our stay there. Lovely, comfortable house in great location. We walked the short way to Bowmore each night for dinner (usually at the Lochside Inn - also recommended). Amazing breakfast table - never had such an array of fresh fruit and delicious fayre anywhere, never mind...

We went to Islay for the first time and we hadn't much plan what to do. But staying at the Allandale was the best thing that could happen to us. Even before we arrived Fiona provided us with a lot of information and took care of our dinner reservations and distillery tours. Although the Scottish accent is the most lovely,...

What a helpful, friendly and welcoming couple. We couldn't find accommodation on Islay for three people but Fiona made up a makeshift bed so we could all be in the same place. We spent two very comfortable nights there and breakfast was amazing. Fiona and Allan were very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend a stay at Allandale ,

We loved Allandale, it's one of our favorite accommodations we've ever stayed at! Fiona and Allan are so friendly, warm and helpful and we felt the most welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was simply amazing and made to our preferences. The room was beautiful and beds super comfy. The B&B is a little outside Bowmore but it's a short and nice...

Fiona, the wonderful owner, started to take good care of us even before we arrived by making sure we had a ride from the port. She also offered to book distillery tours for us. Once we were there, she answered all our questions and gave great tips about the island. The room had a nice view with comfy beds, a...
