After a wonderful breakfast, (Mhari is an excellent cook) you can enjoy the magnificent views from the spacious balcony before setting out to explore the many beautiful and interesting sites of Islay, look up old friends or make new ones, cycle on the quiet single track roads, (we have two well equipped bikes available), or just relax on the balcony or patio, where you may spot our neighbour’s, such as the Hen Harriers, Choughs, Red and Roe deer, or the Brown Hare.

Sat in bed with a cuppa, Jura out the window to my left, hills of County Antrim to my right. Just lovely. Place was spotless, Ronnie and Mairi were fabulous, and the views awesome. Had the best sleep ever.

We enjoyed a couple of days at The Monachs with Ronnie and Mari. Lovely room and beautiful common room. View was terrific. Enjoyed our conversations with our hosts. They made great recommendations for dinner and even made reservations for us. The B & B is easy to find and very pleasant. Breakfast was made to order.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the room was very spacious so was the bathroom. The location of the house is just amazing, waking up to stunning sea views followed by a scrumptious breakfast, all freshly cooked to order!! Ronnie and Mari are great hosts - and our Scotty Dogs received a very warm welcome too which is for loving dog owners most important!

The accommodations are very nice. I found the bed had a bit of a list to poet, but my wife found it very comfortable. The breakfasts are very generous and cooked to order. The setting and the view are simply amazing. It's secluded but within easy driving to the rest of the island.
