We stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at 2 PM. The friendly owner took our payment by card, provided the WIFI code, the hot breakfast menu and keys to our room. She led us up one flight of stairs to Room #1 in the front. The nice sized room was carpeted opening to comfortable twins with heavy duvets, small couch, TV(20+channels) desk and chair with hot pot(coffee/tea/milk/biscuits), a refrigerator, then a clothes stand and a sink. The toilet/shower unit was in a very small room with liquid soap & inline hot water. The secure room wifi was good, many outlets, adequate lighting, an adjustable heat register and a quiet night’s sleep. An insulated window opened to a view of the sea and the ferry landing. The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet in the lounge is excellent, beginning with OJ, fruit salad, cereals, yogurt, toast, coffee machine selections and tea, followed by a hot meal of your choice, ordered the night before. The location has direct access to the ferry and the Tesco supermarket is just 1 block away.

Shona was the perfect hostess nothing was to much trouble. The room was spotless and well appointed with everything you need for a couple of nights stay, It gave easy walking access to the town and was directly opposite the exit from the Ferry Terminal. The rooms are double glazed so no noise from passing traffic. There is a Tesco supermarket 100yds from the front door, handy if you have forgotten anything. All in all a great place to stay.

Shona & Alistair are perfect hosts! Friendly, attentive & professional. The B&B is ideally located, opposite the ferry port, walking distance to the town & a Tesco down the road to stock up on essentials! Very covid secure, very clean, very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with self service of cereals, yogurts, fruit, toast, tea & coffee with a pre order for hot breakfasts. Very comfortable room, spacious & clean with a fridge! Big bathroom with a nice shower. Great views over the harbour. Would definitley recommend this B&B.

We chose this B&B because of its location right in front of the ferry landing. Our ferry departs at 7am ferry the next morning. The B&B is quaint with probably only 4 rooms. The rooms have simple furnishings. The owner is friendly. Breakfast was included in the room rate but as we have to leave early the next morning, we helped ourselves to the bread and cornflakes in the dining area. No hot food was not served at that time.

From the moment we met the lovely couple managing this place, we were friends. The wife cooks a wonderful breakfast and the husband is full of helpful information. There is parking on street just down from the building. Located right across from the ferry terminal. Stayed for 2 nights while we explored Lewis & Harris. I have allergies to fragrance and they obtained fragrance free soap for me. Went above and beyond in so many ways. Room was spacious with good view of the harbor area. Quiet at night. Hope to visit again!

What a lovely place to stay. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. The room spacious, comfortable and spotless. The view from the bathroom was spectacular, thoughtfully a pair of binoculars were provided which I used to watch the boats coming in as well as the wildlife. We will definitely be returning Thanks for the hospitality x

Stayed here 3 nights on a tour of the isles of western Scotland. Had a nice room, the bed was comfortable, breakfasts were excellent. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating.
There isn't a car park, but on street parking is easily available. The main ferry terminal for Ullapool is directly opposite. The town centre is within a five minute walk.
I toured round Ness, the Historic Scotland blackhouse at Arnol, Gerannan Blackhouse Village, the Calanish Standing Stones, and Lews Castle, with the Hebrides Museum.
Beware Sundays on the Isle of Lewis. Most things are closed, so your activities will have to be open air places. Very few eating places are open , you will have to research the few that are, or else stock up the day before with food bought from the nearby Tesco. Fortunately there was a fridge in the room which was very useful.

Absolutely loved staying at this marvelous guest house. Alistair was extremely welcoming and friendly. Charming building in an extremely convenient location. Short walk to town and the Tesco grocery store. Everything was clean, the beds very comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic. Even tried Stornoway's famous blood pudding and totally loved it! Got to meet Dolly the singing dog and she was adorable! Hope to return one day.

Like living at home. Very friendly and helpful owners. Room 2 was big and clean with a good bathroom and a fridge and seating areas. Very healthy and well tasting breakfast downstairs. Well functioning wifi. Central location - Tesco store almost next door. 5 min walk to center and about 15 min to Lews castle.

Had a great stay with Ali and Shona. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable, nothing was too much trouble. The views were great too. Breakfast choices were superb and tea and coffee endlessly supplied. If you want to know about the area, they have a wealth of knowledge. It is easy to get to, from the ferry and near the town centre. Ali tried to teach us some Gaelic, (we weren't very good). They are a lovely welcoming couple with a great place to stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Tapadh leat Ali and Shona
