The Rowans is spectacular. The rooms are large and well decorated and the whole place is spotless. Ann is incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful - she even helped us get a reservation at a restaurant! Breakfast is delicious and served fresh. It is quiet and there is parking right next to the front door and free wi fi. There is... More

The Rowan's B & B sets an example for all other B & Bs. The rooms are comfortable and spotless with nice decor. They have everything a traveler might need or want: blow dryer, safe, coffee machine, luggage rack, extra blankets, and more. They have thought of everything. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spacious. Breakfast is also... More

Arrived at The Rowans after our ferry crossing from Ullapool to be welcomed by Ann the owner. Who showed us to our room (twin room) which was smartly presented with crisp white duvet and sheets with a love tartan runner and cushions. This room was en suite. The room was well equipped with everything you could need... wifi code, tv,... More

I stayed at The Rowans for two nights. This accommodation had been arranged through a third party, and there was some confusion as I arrived. It was corrected without much effort, and I was shown my single ensuite room. It was rather small, but the bed was comfortable and I had a small refrigerator and a TV. The bathroom was... More

Anne Maclean makes you very welcome, the bedroom are up stairs. Rooms are well appointed and more than large enough. Comfortable and good Wi-Fi. We ate a take away one evening and that was not a problem, she set us up well. Breakfasts very good. Good recommendation. A short distance from the town centre.

My husband, myself and his pipeband mates stayed here for a weekend for the Stornoway tattoo. I can honestly say it's a home from home. Ann, the bed and breakfast owner is warm and very friendly. The breakfast is the freshest and the tastiest I've ever had! The guesthouse is well organised and so clean. I normal don't sleep well... More

Was over for the Hebridean tattoo, the best b&b I've ever stayed at. Spacious rooms ,wi-fi, fridge , and plenty tea and coffee. Breakfasts were fantastic . And the host Anne bent over backwards to help and accomodate us. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Definitely going to stay again . Thanks Anne

The double room was excellent, a lovely house, great service, could not fault our stay. The walk into the town centre took 10/15 mins not a problem, it let you see more of Stornoway, some lovely houses. Would not hesitate to recommend this B & B, great value. Thanks Anne.
