Located on the shore with views up Loch Linnhe, all the way to Ben Nevis. Touring campsite, 2 holiday cottages, 13 unique self-catering Shielings Tents, 8 even offer ensuite facilities! We have 5 x budget bed rooms, each offering basic hostel style camping in twin beds. We are a friendly and spotlessly clean site, with Super facilities, lovely hot showers, electric hook-ups, hard standings, laundrette, games room, kitchen/dishwashing area, common room with multifuel stove and free Wi-Fi. There is also a designated campfire area with breathtaking views! Sea otters live on site, and white tailed sea eagles fly overhead. Stroll to the local pub, shop, cafe’s and buses for Tobermory and Iona (boat trips to Staffa) and ferry terminal. Walk to swimming pool, 9 hole golf course and Duart Castle. There are plenty hills to climb, including Ben More and forestry tracks throughout the island. A perfect base for touring all that this idyllic island has to offer. Escape to a better world!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

An excellent caravan and campsite just minutes from the ferry. Nice walk along to the few shops by the ferry. Site is well maintained, good pitches. We were lucky to have a front pitch with electric hookup. Beautiful views over the water to the mainland and watching the ferries coming and going. Perfect weather during our visit.

Booked for 5 nights but ended up staying for 10. Massive improvement with serviced sea front pitches and the ability to look across the bay and up the sound for caravans. Previously the view was the toilet block.

Great campsite - clean and spacious with great views and all the amenities you need. Two minutes from the Craignure ferry and handily placed for all the local sights, we had a lovely, comfy three nights in one of the glamping chalets that is ideal if traditional camping isn't your thing. Clean, spacious and fully stocked, it was the perfect base from which to explore. Sitting outside with a cuppa in the morning, watching the boats come and go in front of the stunning backdrop was just perfect. Would definitely recommend and definitely return.

Myself, my wife, and our two children camped here on a bike tour. Booking was seamless, check-in was friendly and smooth. The site is fantastic and we had a wonderful sea view. There is a lovely atmosphere and everything is clean and tidy. There is a mess tent for campers, which was a wonderful place for us to cook dinner and shelter from the brief thunderstorm. The toilet/shower block is big and clean- everything a camper wants!

We have just left Mull and stayed at the Sheiling campsite ⛺️ We are wildlife photographers and booked one of the Sheiling tents, absolutely fantastic, loads of room for kit, red hot shower and basic but ideal kitchen . We was very lucky as the weather was gorgeous and we could sit outside the tent and look at the stunning views of the sound of Mull and the boats and ferries ⛴️ coming to dock . Already planning our trip for next year and have only just come off the ferry . We will definitely be back to the Sheiling campsite 🏕️ Thank you 🙏 👌📸🦦☀️🦅⛺️

Stayed here for the night. View was excellent and showers were very clean. Cleanest I have seen a campsite. The pitches were Astro which was no good for standards pegs that are used to put up our tent, however was able to borrow better pegs and mallet from reception. All in all decent place for 1 night stay and is right next to ferry which is very convenient. There is no on site food/drink facilities and not much nearby so a longer stay without a caravan/motor home would not be ideal but good for 1 night stay.

The site is in a brilliant spot with the views from the tents just magnificent. The tents were great for our family (of five). The facilities exceeded what was on the website with the tents having their own good shower, a two ring stove and coolbox provided. The nearby communal tent also had a kettle, cooking facilities, vending machine and TV. The site felt nicely spread out, so there was plenty of space and grass available which kids could use to play. A great base from which to explore Mull.

Unique. The view across the Sound of Mull to the mountains is breathtaking. There is nothing comparable. A fully serviced campsite with space for the children to play and a central location from which to explore beautiful Mull. We come here every year, staying in one of the permanent shielings but this year we upgraded to the new Glamping Shieling. Unbelievable. All the features of a standard shieling but with solid walls (and central heating) and French Windows +patio facing THAT view. We have already booked for next year. If you have time free this summer, why wait? Ian and Kathy.

The site was so awful we didn't even stay. Moved on to a much nicer site. No better than a car park the site was tatty at best. We had dogs with us and there wasn't any grass. Just a large expanse of hard-core with some weeds. We had our booked and paid. Huge mistake. Lost a lot of money. But the site we moved to was stunning
