We stayed at the bunkrooms for 3 nights. There were only 2 of us, so lots of room. Rachael and Matt were very helpful before and during our trip. What a relaxing place to stay after a long trip. A close walk to Fionnphort and other walking trails, you can also be in Iona in 30 minutes door to door, ferry ride included. Wind, rain, sun, every day, this is Scotland!

I stayed in the bunkhouse for a couple of nights as a place to just relax and enjoy the fantastic scenery both on the Isle of Mull and Iona. I thought it would provide just standard hostel type of accommodation, but how wrong I was. The attention to detail was obvious with a powerpoint panel above each bed, a wonderfully cosy lounge with log burner, a beautifully appointed private bathroom and a kitchen with every appliance/utensil you could wish for. You have to stay here to appreciate the warmth of the place and the fabulous hospitality of Matt and Rachel.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the bunkhouse and it was well beyond our expectations. We had a great welcome from the owners, Matt and Rachel, who went out of their way to make us feel at home. The bunkhouse itself was spotlessly clean, the beds are really comfortable with great reading lights, the shower rooms are immaculate and the lounge is fantastic for just relaxing in - loads of books, games etc and a view across the nearby loch. We had family with us from France and they went away with great memories of their stay on Mull. Thank you!

3 weary cyclists were very warmly welcomed at the Bunkhouse. The facilities were modern, finished to a high standard and very comfortable. The 'common room' is a great place to relax with a fantastic selection of reading material. If time had permitted we would have enjoyed the fishing in the loch across the road! Very strongly recommended.

Probably the best bunkhouse I've stayed in - clean and modern with lots of space. Lots of books and games, great beaches nearby, fantastic bird song every morning. Convenient for Iona and Staffa trips. Great bird life. Owner really helpful and posted on an earring I'd left. Great for groups as there's so much space. We'll be back!

I'm still feeling warm from the lovely welcome and toasting hot log burner after a 2-day break with my 11-year old son. This is a high-class, quality bunkhouse with fantastic lounge with a peaceful outlook on the mediaeval standing stone and Loch Pottie, an extensive library of books & board games and leather sofas. The new bunks have inbuilt lights/2x USB chargers. Bathrooms are top-end Hansgrohe with lashings of pumped hot water. There's wifi enough to check the weather but you can just curl up and watch the storms hurry by while your boots dry. There's no TV or radio... you won't miss them. Matt and Rachel have done an amazing job in restoring this.

My mom and I shared a room as there were no other guests at the time. There are only 4 beds in a room, with one other room and 2 bathrooms. We both had a comfy sleep. We loved the spaciousness of the place with the comfy couches, wood burner, kitchen with everything you needed and the nice big table to share meals. A great bookshelf to peruse and lots and lots of board games to play. The view out of the living room is of a stunning loch and with the bunk house set back from the road, it felt very peaceful. In the evening we had a lovely sunset walk to Fionphort which was only took 15 minutes, and driving to catch the ferry the next day was only a 2 minute car ride. A perfect place to base ourselves as we explored the beaches and Iona. We felt lucky to have heard about the place and will definitely be back. Thanks Rachel.

Don't be misled by the word "bunkhouse". Yes, you'll be sleeping in a shared (single sex) bunkroom, but rooms are spacious, new, well equipped with reading lights, sockets and USB ports, and only 4 beds in a room. The rest of the house is more like a high standard self catering cottage. There is a well equipped, kitchen, dining room, big, homely lounge with plenty of books and a woodburner. The bathroom is beautiful, and there is a handy drying room. I stayed for one night with a friend, and it was just what we needed after a week of moving round different bunkhouses and hostels, sad we couldn't stay for longer. Rachel the owner was really helpful, and friendly, she even dropped some milk round as we had none. The house is in a beautiful location at the top of a loch, handy for Iona. We were lucky to be there on a clear night, the stars were amazing. Can't wait to be back.
