This is a quite extraordinary B&B! Probably the best that I have ever stayed in!

The accommodation is beautifully furnished and decorated on a seaside theme. The beds are incredibly comfortable with fluffy mattress toppers and cosy duvets. Remarkable attention to detail throughout. The whole ambience is tranquil and calming.

John is a great cook and the large cooked Breakfast - Fingal's Breakfast (fit for a Giant) - is just on a different level. In the bedroom there is a fully loaded courtesy tray with teas, coffees and cookies.

Both John and Jane are fantastic hosts, knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly but also discreet. Also they have a lovely dog Teddy, and are very welcoming to other dogs and "doggy" people.

Fionnphort is a charming village with a lovely Craft Centre, right beside the beach and ideal for trips to Iona (for the Abbey) and Staffa (Fingal's Cave is unmissable!).

We had the very best stay (and even the weather was sunny) and can only thank John and Jane for a wonderful vacation.

Hey Mark, thanks for your glowing review - your kind words are really appreciated. Enjoyed meeting you both including Didi. I've let the head chef and CEO know you enjoyed the breakfast - as multi talented and multi-tasking as I am, I don't do the cooking :-) If I did, I would end up doing a good impression of Basil Fawlty. All the very best, and look forward to welcoming you back if you're ever over this way again. John & Jane

This has been our 6th annual visit to Seaview Bed and Breakfast in the wondrous Isle of Mull.
John and Jane are superb hosts in every way. They are very accommodating when you may have specific needs. They have many many customers that return year after year that we have met over the years.
The rooms are beautiful and little extras well thought out. From lots of power points USB chargers to luxurious soft furnishings. The bathrooms are filled with luxury shower gels shampoo and hand-wash that are organic and caring for the environment. Food is locally sourced and I can recommend the venison sausages!

The whole house is a green home where everything from washing and drying to locally sourced produce has been thought of to reduce their carbon footprint.
John's local knowledge is phenomenal. He can advise the best days for sailing trips, where to visit on the island, best beaches and wildlife sightings.
Seaview is our home away from home, and a warm welcome awaits all visitors from all over the world.
Staying at Seaview Bed and Breakfast on Mull is the highlight of our year!

I had the best, most relaxing time staying at Seaview B&B. Jane and John are so lovely and made me feel incredibly welcome and at home. The B&B is spotless, really cosy, and looks out onto the shore - an amazing spot . As well as a really delicious hot breakfast, John made sure everyone had as much porridge, cereal, and toast with homemade jam as they could possibly want. My room was just perfect and I fell asleep to the sound of the wind and the waves. Really cannot recommend this place enough.

Would strongly recommend this extremely comfortable Bed & Breakfast, and would choose to stay here again. It is a five minute walk from the Iona ferry, and close to local restaurants. We had an attractively decorated large double bedroom with ensuite, and it was evident that our hosts were mindful to be environmentally friendly. Thoughtful extras in room including filter coffee machine, fresh milk and water. Excellent choice and quality of breakfast, and the dining room provided a fantastic view across the bay and over to Iona. Our host John, a local man, could not have been more helpful.

The hosts of this B&B are absolute perfectionists. The breakfasts are cooked and presented beautifully and the table is set 'just so' with lovely crockery and home made jams, marmalade and honey. I had some lovely chats with John about life on the island and he gave us some helpful tips on where to go and what to do. As a first time visitor to Mull, I really appreciated his insider knowledge. Jane took care of our booking and sent a comprehensive email with everything we needed to know before getting there. I would also like to compliment them on their housekeeping. The house and the room were spotless and very tastefully decorated. Nothing looks out of place at all. Inside the room we had a fine selection of teas and coffee and we were given fresh milk every day which I appreciated as I hate those UHT milk pots you get in most other places. The rain shower is fantastic and has excellent water pressure so you can enjoy a relaxing shower after a day full of activities. We booked the Lunga room with the seaview and it was so nice to look out in the morning. I wake up early so I sat on the window seat with a cup of tea and watched the bunnies hopping around and the sheep and grazing by the beach. It was positively idyllic. I really hope to visit this place again in the future, it was just so charming. Thank you John and Jane for all that you did for us.

we had a lovely stay for 3 nights in the Lunga room. considering it's a small room we had every single thing we needed. All types of coffee, tea and coffee maker, hair dryer, quality shampoo/hand wash etc. The room was decorated in calm colours with great art work to look at and the view over the beach was fantastic.
Only one very small down point for me but probably not for everyone was the pillows were not soft enough.
Breakfast had every option you could ask for. I'm vegan and had the best cooked breakfasts ever.
The breakfast/dining room has a great view over the beach to Iona and a good selection of booklets with local information.
Overall it's one the the best B&Bs we have visited, the hosts were really friendly and helpful. Looking forward to another visit sometime.

We had a lovely one-night stay in the Lunga room!! The room was immaculate with plenty of ammenities, including teas and coffees, an incredibly comfortable bed and fantastic shower with great water pressure. John, Jane and Laney the labrador were also wonderful hosts, offering us great advice, chat and belly rubs!! Breakfast the next morning was homecooked and just delicious, featuring loads of local ingredients and beautiful extra touches like homemade jam. We also really appreciated seaview's commitment to sustainability throughout the b&b. The only issue with our trip was that we couldn't stay longer!! Cannot reccomend staying here enough and hope to return one day in the future! Thanks a bunch!!

We had the pleasure of staying at Seaview for a couple of nights during a mini islands trip.
From start to finish John and Jane provided us with a lovely stay at their B&B.
On arrival we received a very warm welcome from John who showed us around their lovely home and to our room.
Our rear facing room with a nice garden view was very peaceful and comfortable for two people and was spotlessly clean.
Breakfasts, served in the dining room with beautiful views of the beach and across the water to Iona, were superb. Kippers, pancakes with bacon and the Fingal's breakfast were all cooked to perfection. Special mention for the wonderful haggis and black pudding included in the latter!
Whether it was providing local information or engaging in general conversation John had time for us throughout and nothing was too much trouble.
Our short time on Mull centred around visiting Iona and going out to Staffa and Seaview's location is ideal for this.

A final mention...for Teddy, John and Jane's adorable young labrador who will give you such a happy welcome.

All in all we couldn't have asked for any more really.
As per our review title...perfect!

This is an unbeatable B&B experience. John is such a welcoming host where nothing is too much trouble. His local knowledge is invaluable and stories insightful. Comfort of rooms and care and attention taken with the quality bedding makes a stay so comfortable. The quality and sourcing of the breakfast is 5 star- loved the kipper and the porridge made to perfection. Book restaurant next door before you go- prices at restaurant a bit steep but it is a lovely local atmosphere pub/restaurant. Would love to come back soon. This is my second visit when the last time John made me bacon rolls for dinner after the restaurant closed due to a power cut- nothing too much trouble.

A fantastic one night stay - John and his wife were extremely welcoming and I felt at home right away. It was great chatting to John and the hospitality was 10/10 - the room was perfect for my needs and I had a very much needed good night's sleep.
The location is stunning and you cannot help but notice the detail and effort that has been put in to not only decorating the house but also their website and welcome pack. Thank you once again John and Jane - I look forward to staying with yourselves again on a future visit to Magical Mull! Ather
