We stayed 3 nights at the Orchard House Bed and Breakfast in Portree Scotland. Our room was very nice, well appointed and quite spacious. The home has been well maintained and the facilites are modern. Breakfast each morning was excellent, tasty and filling. Lance and Emma are fantastic hosts who make you feel welcome in their lovely home.

Orchard House is light and airy, and in a lovely quiet location. The hosts are very welcoming and Lance does a fabulous cooked breakfast. The room was really clean and in great condition. It had lots of storage and plug sockets and a fridge, which was great for our weeks stay. Bed was very comfortable. Wi-Fi good. The bath was a real highlight! For us, the walk into town was fine, and there was lots of choice of bars and restaurants - you need to book ahead to avoid disappointment as it was really busy. Some might find the walk back a bit strenuous. The location was perfect. Portree is so pretty and there are plenty of walks less than 5 miles within easy reach of the B and B by car - beware the potholes!! My only very small recommendation is that mugs could be provided in the rooms for a good size cuppa!! More coasters for drinks would be good.…

We really enjoyed our stay at Orchard House - Lance and Emma have a fantastic B&B, which we would definitely recommend. We stayed in room 1 - which was better than a suite in a hotel. The fresh milk in the fridge was very much welcomed. The bathroom has a shower and a bath - and there is a non slip bath mat provided (very few places do this so we carry one with us). The breakfast was good and Lance catered for any specific requests. There is a 10 min walk to get into Portree and it has some uphill bits (more so on the way back) - however it wasn’t a massive issue and you get the chance of some lovely views. Portree is very busy and it’s advisable to book for dinner - we had booked for a meal for one night at the Antlers/Portree Hotel and enjoyed good food. We enjoyed a meal at the Isles on the other night - they don’t take bookings, but we got on the list and waited about an hour for a table - while enjoying a beer and chatting to people in the busy pub. …

My stay at Orchard House was perfect. Emma greeted warmly by name on arrival and chatted easily while showing me around. The room was warm, beautifully decorated and very spacious. I especially enjoyed the large tub and all the small touches including local products in the bathroom and fresh milk in the mini fridge. The property is nice and quiet for a great nights rest and only a 15 minute walk into the centre of Portree. Keep in mind it is up hill on the way back but the walk is manageable. Highly recommend staying with Lance and Emma at the Orchard House.

Orchard House is simply stunning. From the warm greeting by Hosts Emma and Lance, to the magnificent room (massive king bed + full bathroom with a tub deep enough to swim in) this place is perfection. Added bonus the views from the rooms to the distant mountains are spectacular. Breakfast each morning in the shared dining room, with plenty of travel tips on how to get the most out of your stay. It’s a short walk into town mostly downhill, Uber back at the end of the evening is cheap (leave the car at the BnB there is very little parking in Portree in summer. If you’re looking for a beautiful place to rest your weary legs, in a quiet space just out of town, this is THE place to stay.

The B&B is in a quiet road a short walk from the town centre. Our room was spacious, beautifully furnished and spotless, with a comfortable bed and great bathroom. Lance served up fabulous breakfasts, and provided drying facilities for our wet walking gear. Would definitely come back.

Perfect In. Every way, beautiful comfy room with all we needed. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented, friendly and helpful hosts. A perfect stay on the stunning Isle of Skye. One suggestion book your evening meals before you go, the restaurants we're all very busy.

The host was very nice and friendly. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. The room is as immaculate. The location was close enough to town that you could walk to dinner and the shops. We would highly recommend staying here.

Four of us stayed with Lance and Emma for two nights. Every single aspect of our stay was exceptional. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Breakfast each morning--cooked to each person's specifications submitted the evening before--was filling and delicious. Our hosts made us feel welcome and well cared for. Don't overthink it. Just book the Orchard House, and you will be rewarded with a terrific experience.
